Exclamation Skin, skin and more skin!

Hi guys,
I'm brand new to the board. I've recently lost 71lbs! I started out at a bra size of 44H! Now, having lost this, I'm down to a 38DDD. My boobs however, are saggier than heck. Also, like when I lay on my side or am adjusting my bra, I've noticed (the bigger one) looks all wrinkly!!!! Like if you straighten your arm and pinch your elbow and get all that wrinkly skin there, that's what it looks like!!! I'm only 30, so I'm hoping my skin is elastic enough still to bounce back some!! has anyone had their ladies perk up a little?
Also, I carry my weight around my stomach area, I have that nasty "overhang" of flab. Granted, it has shrunk and is getting smaller, but does this go back a little too? or is excersize the only help? I'll be taking Zumba classes here after I finish my diet and can eat more. But, is there hope for me? Or am I going to have to get it all removed?

Congrats on your weight loss!!!

As for the skin, this seems to be an individual thing...made of many factors, your age, whether you've had kids, how long you've been overweight....your personal elasticity, etc etc. I have lost 90+ pounds over the last 10 months, and have been obese for over 15 years, and have had two kids. I have all of what you are describing, plus inner thigh wrinkliness. I'll see what magic time has in store for me (I'm 33) but I'm not counting on much help. I think it'll be necessary to get surgery to get rid of it, if I go down that route. I take comfort knowing I look awesome clothed.

Congrats to both of you ladies! I too have had to deal with boob shrinkage and excess skin. My loss has been slow and I think that is helping give my body time to adjust. I've made sure I'm doing upper body weights for arms and chest and that seems to help. I'm going to be 50 this summer - so hopefully I've given you both a little ray of sunshine. Keep up the excercising. You're both young and your bodies will make a fair amount of adjustment on its own....given time...and genes.

Yep, I have this too. Although, with some pretty serious exercise, it really is getting much better. My boobs are almost non-existent at this point, but what is there is really wrinkly looking. All of the other areas (tummy, arms, inside of thighs, backs of legs and butt) have all gotten SO much better in the last 10 lbs.
Good luck and keep working at it!

My fingers are crossed that in the next 10 pounds for me the inside of my thighs will not be so saggy. But I still can't tell if it is skin or fat or a combo of both. Time will tell I guess.

Either way, I'll be wearing board shorts or little skirts with my bathing suits for the rest of my life.....or until my wrinkles start to blend in with the stretch marks!
