Noticing a Difference

Hi All -

Just a little survey: What percentage of body weight did you lose before you started to notice and before OTHERS started to notice a difference?

I'm just curious!

I don't know what the percentage was, but for me, it was the first 40 pounds once everyone started to make comments.

I am still waiting for people to notice HAHA

Around 17% for me. Some people noticed before that, but most people didn't have a clue until then. Right now I'm about 30% down, and nearly everyone has noticed (aside from my particularly oblivious friend - he's so adorable!).

For me it was about 10% before I could see a real difference in my clothes and before people started making comments. It took about 15% for me to see a difference in the mirror.

Hm, I would say about 15 lbs down people started to make comments. I didn't start to see a difference until then either. Granted around 15lbs I dropped about a pant size...so I guess it was noticeable.

I have only lost 7lbs but I am already noticing and so are others. My boyfriend says he does, Im not sure if he has to say that though. My trainer at the gym has and so have other people at the gym.

I have gone down a pants size and lost a few inches so think the musle toning and inches lost is causing more of the difference rather than the lbs lost.

For me it was about 20% (50 pounds).

tschaff04 12-21-2010 01:49 PM

around 40 pounds

beerab 12-21-2010 02:10 PM

It took around 20 lbs for people to start noticing- so I'd say 10%.

It took 10% for some people to start noticing and commenting, and by 15%, I'd say pretty much everyone was able to notice.
