Since loosing weight, I've developed very pronounced nasolabial folds (the lines that go from nose to mouth). Apparently this is fairly common in people who lose a lot of weight. I'm really depressed and insecure about it-I'm only 28. As soon as I can afford it, I'm getting fillers.
Same with me except i'm 52 and was NOT prepared for the weight loss in my face, i lost almost ALL subcutaneous fat on my face and while it's attractive from the base of the nose up, i'm not liking the hollows on down and i have posted several threads throughout my maintenance struggling with dealing with it!
Yes weight loss will happen in the face but be happy if you're left with some chubby cheeks!
The impacts of dramatic weight loss on the face are crazy though. You literally become a different (not just a thinner) person. I was not prepared for that.
Weight loss really hit my face when I got into the 2-teens. The 180s are my "giving good face" sweet spot. When I get into the 150s, my cheeks are hollower, my nasolabial folds are wayy more pronounced and in the wrong lighting/from the wrong angle I can look a little gaunt and ill. I like my face (and chest) in the 180s, but I prefer my body in clothes and my fitness levels in the 150s.

i completely agree, and i choose my body over my face as hard as that is...i just want to feel and look fit
For me it was shortly after starting ANY diet at ANY weight regime. The moment I stop drinking anything with bubbles (IE Soft drink, beer and so on) my face starts to shrink.
My face is interesting. I noticed it there first and my double chin has greatly faded and my cheeks are more hallowed out. Sometimes though my face looks chubby still.
Other people started saying my face looked thinner once I'd lost about 30 pounds. It started looking thinner to me around 40 pounds. Cheeks aren't so round, eyes don't look "beady" anymore, no more double chin. Nasolabial folds have become less pronounced in one way, more in another. When I had all the cheek flab, it made them stick out over the folds. But now I have creases there. I'm hoping they go away, but if they don't, I'm still happier with my skinnier face.
This is one of my biggest frustrations, I've always had a round face, and my face is smaller but my face is still very fat. I'm hoping it becomes thin in the next 30-35 lbs. down. I started noticing changes in my face when I went from the 300's to the 280's.
Here's the thing. After losing 65 pounds, I looked better in the face at 20 pounds more than I weigh now. Now, I'm older so I would have had some sagging and turkey neck in any event. But, it was way more noticeable as I lost weight. I am not sorry I lost the weight but I have more loose skin as a result of the weight loss. I am actually having facial plastic surgery in a couple of weeks (and, in a few months, will have a tummy tuck and breast lift).
