Local Exercise Groups/Diet Support

I was thinking to myself today that it would be pretty cool if 3FC had a forum for specific areas of the country where people could "meet" and then perhaps form real-life groups to exercise and support one another. The support we all give each other on these boards is so wonderful, but I wish I had a sweet group of gals like you all that I could be accountable to in "the real world". I feel like I could help motivate others, and I certainly could really use others' help as well!

Plus for me personally, I'd rather not pay the $60 a month for a gym membership if I can get away with free walks/jogs in the park!

So, is there a spot already on 3fc for this that I haven't come across? If not, does anyone else think this would be a good idea?

I think it's a great idea!

I have posted a couple times in the past about looking for a YMCA buddy but got no response... Of course I do live out in the boonies of Western Massachusetts

But it would be great to have a centralized location here to post a want-ad for exercise buddies! It is pretty easy to hit the snooze button in the morning or get caught up in night chores and skip exercise, but not if someone is waiting for you somewhere
