It is hard to be around my mom right now.

She is rather depressed about her life, and doesn't have much nice to say whenever somebody else has a success or other good fortune.

Oh MIL has always been super skinny and thinks everyone else should be. She lives on coffee and cigarettes.
I may be fat but at least I eat real food and I am trying to change myself. Plus Im not gonna be the one dying of lung cancer.

Kamily - I'm sorry DH hurt your feelings. Did you try and talk to him about why he thinks that? It is a fairly common problem. But IMO it has more to do with his insecurity than anything to do with you.

I think it has to do with insecurity. We have had marital trouble in the past but everything is fine now. I thinks hes afraid I will leave again.

It gets me so angry! So then I have no healthy snacks in the house and when they see me eating something unhealthy they yell at me and then I say "you won't buy the extra food so I have to eat the stuff you bought" They won't listen to me though and I don;t know what to do. How can lose weight if my family will not support me, and they don't buy the proper foods.
Try asking your mom for the sales ads. Then circle things in there. See if she will agree to buy the items you have circled. If you get coupons to match, even better. Show that you care about the financial side too and respect their position, but can find cheap healthy alternatives which respects your position.

At times, I think it may be my husband. I love it says I do not need to lose weight, but come on at 300 it is not healthy.

I came across a note from a friend from a while ago and remembered some conversations that were long forgotten. He was concerned when I gained back weight and I think he was the only person to every be honest about weight - and that I should lose some.

Here is 2006 whenI am doing it for me.

My husband informed me that he was watching the Today show the other morning, and that according to the "expert" on the show, I'm over exercising. My husband asked me to limit my exercising to 3 sessions of 1/2 an hour a week!!! I dont pay $30 a week to go 3 times for 1/2 an hour. So I simply ignored him.

Friends are now saying he's worried that he wont be good enough for me when I'm all trim, and terrific.

Isnt it awful how they dont want you to change because they are scared? You would think they would be supportive and encouraging.
