Just started watching on Hulu
 

So I'm not going to read the discussion thread.

But, I have to say, although I'm sure its been said a thousand times...

Abby's story makes me cry and hug my baby a little tighter every time I hear it.

Broke my heart when I heard it.

Hey, I just started watching it on Hulu too! On Episode 3 right now. And like everyone else, Abby is just. amazing. Such a tragic story.

And Amanda and Rebecca are simply GORGEOUS, extra weight or not. I am mad jealous ;)

What was abby's story? I missed it.

Abby was a contestant last season. About 4 years ago, her husband, young daughter and newborn son were all killed in a car collision (the driver of the other car was also killed). Usually contestants talk about how they want to lose weight and be healthy for their families, their kids, etc., and Abby would say she's doing it for herself because she didn't have anybody else (although her parents are alive). She would say she's not afraid of death, that it was getting up every day that was hard and coming to be on the show was hard. She was pretty focused while she was on the show, she wasn't into any of the game-playing or temptations, she came there with a purpose to get healthy and didn't really care about the other stuff. When her black team lost the weigh-in, she told them to send her home because she believed the others needed to be there more. She wasn't the first contestant to fall on the sword last season and Jillian and Bob were actually pretty ticked off when they found out she had sacrificed herself.
