Just a 1 lb loss for me this week, which I'll take considering it's my TOM. My 30th (!) birthday is Thursday, and I was worried about it at first, but for lack of babysitter, we'll be hanging out at home. I thought about taking the kids to chuck e cheese for my birthday. They can play games, and I can play skee ball. lol. I hope I manage to stay on plan this week. DH has Friday-Sunday off, and I don't do so well when he's home. We do a lot of stuff on the fly. Gonna try my hardest!

shan84 11-07-2010 11:01 PM

As team leaders, myself and bigmid, do our best to keep things fair for all members of both teams. Therefore, if we edit your post as a freebie because you missed weigh in time, please do not go back and edit it and erase the freebie and put in a weight. The edits have time stamps so we can track weigh in times even if we are not online at exactly 10pm ast to enter in everyone's freebie immediately. Again, this is so that we can all play fair and keep working towards our goals of becoming healthier.

Thanks!

Congrats everyone!

I went to bed very early last night, because the dinner we had for our anniversary made my husband and I feel queasy. :( I guess it was just a carb overload or something. We've been trying out a paleolithic kind of diet for a couple of days (with tiny cheats) but it was nothing like last night. Ick. The food was much too rich for us, and it left us feeling sick to our stomachs. Has this happened to anyone else before while doing a restrictive diet??

Violet73 11-08-2010 09:30 AM

Hey everybody! I'm re-vamping my plan here and I'm combining low-carb with the 5 hour fast. My weight loss hasn't been consistent and I really need it to be. I really wanna get a lot of this weight off by spring! Hope you all had a great weekend!

julie99s 11-08-2010 10:49 AM

Congrats Tambolina!! Congrats to everyone else also! Thanks for compiling the stats, shan. That's pretty motivating :)

Angie 11-08-2010 09:15 PM

Hey everyone! Just echoing what Shan said, do please weigh in, it's okay if things aren't going well, we've all had bad weeks (sometimes months!) and having a group like this for support is just what you need sometimes. I also post in the 100 lb club area and I never fail to find some encouraging words just when I need them, or to be motivated by what someone else did or overcame.

Serval -- I've had that. I'm on a low carb diet, and the first phase was no carb. Now if I go off plan and especially if I eat the wrong kind of carbs, I feel bloated, guilty and generally 'icky'. Hope you are feeling much better today.

Shan - Thanks for the stats!

TERAPET 11-08-2010 09:23 PM

Congrats Tambolina! Your job sounds interesting and rewarding.

Julie99-Happy Birthday early. I hope you enjoy your special day.

Today was On Plan. I am craving a treat tonight, I am sure due to too many indulgences lately. It is almost my bedtime though so should get through the day great.

CanadaMel 11-08-2010 11:45 PM

WTG Tambolina!
Shan- thanks for the overall stats. How is the food delivery going. Do you augment with fruit & veggies or do you eat only what they bring you?

Life seems so hectic right now, but I think it's a major effect of the time change and feeling out of whack at work.
Anyhow- eating has been mainly under control. Packing an extra piece of fruit for lunch that sometimes I eat on the way home to curb the afternoon munchies- though an apple is nothing like some chips or pretzels.

The cold weather is dropping in from the north, so I'm hoping my body will burn some more calories trying to stay warm. LOL- wishful thinking I know.

Have a great evening ladies!

sha25 11-09-2010 05:23 PM

Hey Red Team.. Sorry I missed weigh in. I been having a really hard time the last two weeks or so. Been going through a bunch of things. I trying to get back on here and post but I am so preoccupied lately.. I'm working on figuring out how to focus again. I will weigh in on Sunday.. I did weigh today and had a small loss, was happy I didn't gain.

Hope everyone is having a good week.

TERAPET 11-09-2010 10:03 PM

sha25-Good for you for coming back to the board when things get tough. Hang in there and don't give up!

Today was on plan again. Yeah!

CanadMel-the apple is a way better choice than chips. You are a smart girl. Plus you are almost to a new decade. Keep up the good work.

3FCer344892 11-09-2010 10:20 PM

Thanks, Angie. I'm notorious for cheating on diets, and have been cheating consistently, but with my cheating has come consequences. I think the paleo diet is actually good for me if I can keep with it, because it got rid of my bloat. Only when I start eating non-paleo again does it come back, and it hasn't even been a week.
