Default Red Team Chat Thread Week 9 (7/26-8/1)

Hello ladies. Results to come tomorrow. Unfortunately we lost three more members this weigh in. I'm beginning to feel really uncomfortable with the position of leader of the team because I can't help but feel responsible for people dropping out of the challenge because I am the one who has to enforce the rules that both teams follow.

So, yeah I'm kind of down and out right now.

I hope everyone has a good start to the week.

Shan, it's totally not your fault. The numbers drop like this in every challenge, and with busy summer schedules, people just forget to weigh in. Don't doubt your position as team leader; you've done great!

You've done a great job, Shan, we're lucky to have you! Aclai is right, this is just how it goes with these challenges, and summer ones especially...

Hi Red Team just coming over to say Hi and see how you are all doing

Shan don't take losing people personally we are here to enforce the rules, offer encouragement and try to offer up some motivation whenever possible. Unfortunatly some people drop out due to time, loss of interest, busy life, etc it has nothing to do with you. You are a great leader and I for one have appreciated all the help you gave starting this up and doing both teams while I was on vacation. All the challanges lose half or more of the members by the end. The Blue Team just lost 4 more this week as well. It's all a part of the challange. Your doing awesome

Thank you ladies for the encouragement. Results are posted! Good job to everyone this week. It was a close call with the blue team. Let's rock it for this next week!

Someone has to be the enforcer if there are rules to follow! Don't feel bad. Thanks for the effort and time you put into this!

Good Morning Girls,

Shan-It is just the nature of these challenges. Not to worry. Now maybe we can beat the blue team

Yesterday I walked up Kennesaw Mtn for the third time this summer. I am getting so much better at it. I love the benefits of losing weight and exercising (but I miss eating cookies and cheez its, really!) I also did a bunch of yardwork this weekend. In the past either the heat or my back kept me from helping outside but I am much more able to handle the tough stuff now.

Well don't have alot of time so I will check back in later

Congrats Doc2b on being our biggest loser this week!!

I am celebrating today as I officially hit my 50 lb mark this morning. It's been eluding me for quite a while, but there it was today in black and white! Wahoo! It's actually a double milestone day as 188 was the lowest I ever got with my last wl effort. So to pass that up really is a big deal to my psyche.

Hope everyone has a great week 9!

Congrats on you're double-milestone tinabinab. My double milestone will be 222; it will be the smallest I've been in my adult life and half-way to goal.

Well I made it through day three POP, that's the longest I've been on plan in a good while. I had my challenges too. First, they brought a dessert cart around the building for tenant appreciation at work today. I was soooooo hungry and it smelled REALLY good, but I stayed away! Then, when I got off work I was starving because I didn't pack a sufficient lunch. Normally at this level of hungry is when I eat whatever I can get fast, which is usually really bad. But I stayed on plan and got some vegetable soup. It was enough food to hold me over until my planned dinner without using a lot of points. It feels really good to be back on plan; I've been kinda hating myself lately for being so off.

Have a great week ladies! I'll be checking in more as I clearly need the accountability.

Shan- you are doing a GREAT job running this! There needs to be rules and people will drop out for their own reasons, It's not your fault.

Doc2b- Congratulations on being the biggest over all loser this week

tinabinab- way to go on your milestones!

Terapet- how far is it up Keenesaw Mnt?

We're in the middle of a rain storm now, I'm hoping it will let up soon because I don't want to get in the shower with lighting above the sky lite.

Well I'm off to gather up a good breakast... I have decided I need to keep track of calories again on fit day or I find that I go off plan without seeing it in black & white.

Good luck this week everyone!

BlueEyes-It is only 1 mile to the top of Kennesaw Mtn but it is pretty steep. So far I turn around when I get to the top but I am thinking about continuing on the trail soon and then it is about a 5 mile hike. Unfortunately, I don't have anyone to take with me and I am not real excited about doing it alone. My husband went on the 2 mile hike (1 mile up and 1 mile down) last weekend with me but he was very uncomfortable with it. It was really, really hot even at 10 in the morning.

Hello girls-no trouble staying active these days. It's my day off & I've been running errands since I dropped the kids at summer camp this morning. We hiked 9 miles round trip on the weekend with the kids which was fun as they didn't complain too much. Work is keeping me busy with extra hours and training. I'll be glad when the hype is over.
Hard to believe we are in week 9 and that it is the end of July already.

Shan-you are doing a great job as a leader. I agree with everyone that the summer challenge is the most difficult due to changing schedules etc. No one to blame but ourselves
okay- time to hit the road to my next errand. Have a great day ladies!

hey ladies. Checking in here. I was a bit off plan last night. Tuesday nights are rough because I go out with my sister and her kickball team which typically involves mexican food and lots of beer. But I kept my points low during the day to minimize the blow and got right back on plan today. So far it hasn't caused a gain on the scale (not even water weight) so I think I'm okay. Have a great day!
