Default TBL "Just Beachy" Black Team Chat #2

I was momentarily nervous when I saw our thread shut down! Luckily it was only because we are such a chatty bunch, so here goes chat #2.
Looking at the weigh-ins people are beginning to post and so far it looks great.
Trooworld - That is a huge loss, congrats! I can totally sympathize with you about trying to stay on plan and get exercise in during finals. I've felt bad that I haven't been chatting as much as I should (and would like), but with grad school finals approaching there is just not time in the day so this is high on the list of things to put off. Fortunately, I've been staying on plan and have posted a loss. I can't wait until finals are over so I can be a better teammate. 12 more days and I'll be around much more.
Keep up the great work black team!!!

Heya everyone - just checking in again. I know haven't posted much, but my mom had to go in for surgery, so I've been busy, and not in the good way. However, she's healing up now, so hopefully, life should get back to normal soon.

I was able to stay OP and make sure I got 30-45 minutes of exercise everyday, so hopefully, I can post a nice big loss on Monday!

I hope everyone else had a great week, and I promise to be more active on the forum!

Hey, everyone Sundays always feel like the beginning of a new week for me since hubby leaves and I get strict with the weekday school schedule for the kids again. I will be cranking up the exercise today through Tuesday to meet my webwalking goal. I slacked completely this weekend so feel like I have had a huge break, ready to go again.

I hope everyone is doing well

Morning ladies,

Today is sort of my rest day. Instead of working out, I'll be out working! Its a beautiful spring day so the garden is to be planted, yard work to do and all kinds of outdoor chores. No rest for the wicked! The good news is that with all the gym work done over the last two months, my stamina for this kind of work is greatly improved.

Enjoy your day!

Hi ladies -

Hope everyone is rolling along! I want to scan through our past week's weight loss and see how we're doing. I know I had a nice loss for the first week. My losses are usually pretty slow so 2 lbs down is enormous for me.

Today ends week 3 of my P90X Lean routine and I'm loving it!

I did KenpoX this morning. Next week begins my recovery week which means 2 days of Yoga X during the week. I love yoga and my body has missed a regular yoga routine however I'm not crazy about Tony as a yoga instructor. Oh well - maybe I'll turn his voice off and see how that goes (I guess I'm afraid I'll miss the cues to move on since I don't watch too much of the TV when I do yoga and just follow vocal cues).

Have a great week!!

back to black

So yesterday was an ok start to the challenge for me. I kind of blew it last night but I'm not completely at a loss. It was the end of the semester party and I kind of drank a lot and ate some junk food. But the scale decided not to punish me. So I just need to pick it up today.

Hi everybody,

I've had a strange schedule this week and I'm out of town right now. Hope everyone is doing well. I'm helping a friend redo her kitchen right now and I'm so sore. Luckily the working out has given me so much more stamina.

See more of you guys next week hopefully.

Anyone heard of Les Mills? I was just checking out the Y's website and they are annoucing the arrival of her programs in 27 days. Just curious if they were worth joining.

On June 5th they are doing a 10k and a 2 miler. I'm no way in shape to do a 10k but am definitely thinking about the 2 miler. It would be great practice for the 5k in August.

Today starts my second straight week OP and I am adding a new goal for my eating...putting my calorie counts back in. I feel strong with the sugar and am not having the cravings anymore, so time to get my portions back under control with everything else.

Looked through the weigh in thread to post mine and I see so many of us lost between 3-5 lbs...that's huge, great work everyone. I only lost 0.6, but it's because my only food restriction was no sugar that first week and I was not monitoring what I ate, long as it was not sugary...I had to do this or it makes going through the intense sugar withdraws impossible! I am glad I lost something, and next week will be much better because I'm starting to do my calories again today...I am feeling so good, I'm thankful for this challenge to break me out of my maintaining phase I was mentally locked in.

I have not heard of him (or her?) but it sounds like a good challenge. Is it running or walking...indoors or out? I say try it, you may end up loving it.
