When I was in Korea, black is ALL I used to wear, literally. Black shirt to black shoes and purse...because I thouhgt it made me look thinner and in Korea, I'm supposed to weigh about 120lbs according to many people..so my closet was filled with BLACK to make me look "thinner".. lol
I still enjoy wearing black, although not as much as back then... Well. Anyways! Yay for BLACK!!!!
You must have been HOT! The other day when I was walking to school in dark jeans and a black t-shirt, I was DYING!!! Yeah, I like black a lot because I feel like I "blend in" a little more...like it gives me some sort of invisibility cloak or something.
Hello new friends!
Laurie - I'm going to copy your goal of exercising 4 times per week for this whole challenge. That means going to the gym 60 times in the next 15 weeks, totally reasonable.
I do have a "scale" goal for the challenge, as well. I really want to get to 150. My starting weight is 183 so that may be a bit of a stretch, but over the course of the challenge hopefully I'll make substantial progress toward that number.
I can't wait until we all get to know each other. It's a bit overwhelming having this new thread full of strangers, but I'm looking forward to this.
Can't stay long enough to answer the questions but just wanted to say hello and I look forward to this challenge. I've been off track since the last one.
My goal is to stay on plan (allowing for a cheat meal every week) and to workout 6 days a week. Good luck everybody!
Hi Mary, I think you've got the right idea about sharing about ourselves. It would be nice to get to know everyone. Mary, I love fajitas and guacamole! Here's stuff about me:
I'm 39 years old, married.
I live in Southern California where it's "beachy".
I have no kids, just a 14 year old black pug and an 8 year old tuxedo cat who are like my kids.
I am not a fan of exercising, but since my weigh in, I've forced myself to do it.
Before the weigh in, the exercise I got was walking to and from school.
Since then, I've made sure and ridden the stationary bike for atleast 30 minutes a day (except for today, I'm taking it off!). Starting on Tuesday, I am going to add some weights to my routine, although due to time constraints that might make me cut my cardio down to 3x a week.
I am a student, English major, I graduate in a few weeks, then I am going to grad school for Library and Information Science to be a university librarian.
I am a calorie counter, and I also pay attention to fats, fiber and calcium.
My hobbies are movies, books, art, photography, museums, plays, playing on the Internet, computer games and writing.
My goal for this challenge is to be consistent and make it through!!! And also lose 20 lbs.
Okay more about me...I live in North Carolina and stay home with my two kids, ages 4 and 6. Most of my time is spent doing the normal mommy duties, but the rest is spent gardening, taking tons of pictures, playing with our 3 dogs, and exercising. I do Jillian's workouts religiously plus a mix of other cardio DVDs, workouts from FitTV and Exercise On Demand. I am a crazy Jillian fan, pretending is in my living room screaming at me even
I can't wait to get to know everyone else.

It's fun....but limited internet access. At the moment I'm trying to get my accounting homework turned in. At any rate, let's kick some fanny!!!!
