Default Turkey Trot to Thanksgiving

Here's a new thread to bring us to Thanksgiving!!

I'm starting at 178 and plan to see 171 by Thanksgiving!! I've been bouncing around in the 170s for a long time and want to reach my realistic goal by my second anniversary in January!! Setting a goal helps me focus!!

I have a whole bunch of short term weight gain to lose too and I am going camping to North Florida the week before Halloween... yikes (lots of hot chocolate.. gotta find some good tasting sugar free!)

Yay! I was waiting for a new one to roll around before I started posting again I'm in 2 Dietbets that end the Tues and Wed before Thanksgiving. I have to hit 170.6 by then, but my ultimate goal is to be OUT OF OBESE by Thanksgiving and clock in at 168.0

Happy Monday !! Staying accountable at 180 this morning! The highest weight in a long time...ouch!! That being said I had a great weekend and ate off plan!! I am headed back to induction which is great because I have no groceries at my house so I can start from scratch. Traveling this week so I will be making a plan for salads which for me is the easiest choice to help me stay on track. I'll be able to weigh tomorrow and then again on Friday. I am exercising regularly and have a date with the elliptical for this morning!! Best wishes for an on-plan day!!

Ps. When all else fails re-read the book...so I'm rereading especially about induction!!

Hi all, very glad to see a short-term focus thread - I've been annoyingly toying with the same couple of pounds for about 2 months now, and enough is enough, I need to break into a new weight decade now because I'm becoming discouraged. (I've actually been exercising quite a bit more, and I'm pretty sure I've lost some fat and gained some muscle, but there's more than enough extra fat here, and my mental sanity needs to see that scale moving now!)

I've been avoiding going back to daily weighing, and still might now weigh every single day, but will make it more frequent to see if that helps.

Ugh, not sure what's going on, but I'm going to monitor my "extras" really closely today (sweetener and cream). It helps my coffee pot has died a tragic and early death so I was only able to get 1 cup today.

I am on induction and I wrote an index card with acceptable foods after re-reading Atkins yesterday....keeps it real simple!!

That is a good idea Lulu... sometimes short notes of what is allowed in front of our faces helps... I forget too....

Sarah..I hope that the daily weighins help. It worked for me in the past and I have forgotten too!

Can't weigh but checking in...ended yesterday with a field salad with shrimp and starting today with a bacon cheddar omelette!! Feels good!! Planning a wedge salad for lunch!! And walking!! Best wishes for an on-plan day!!
