Default Halloween Challenge to Frighten away those lbs! :ghost:



Welcome to this challenge! Everyone is welcome to come and post with us all and keep track of your losses during this time. We start Labor day 9/1 and continue to 10/31.... Its 8 1/2 weeks.. Not too long..but long enough to show a trend in your journey! a GOOD and HAPPY SCARY Trend!

Come post as often as you wish... Daily, Weekly or however. You can track weight or also whatever you wish!

I hope to scare/frighten away alot of those dastardly lbs and banish them to the grave FOR GOOD! Come join us!

I'm joining Sue!! My goal is to be at goal 160 by Halloween!! What's my plan...eating at induction level and giving up my low carb beer!! I've had a great summer but it's time to get serious and refocus!! I want to say goodbye to the 170s permanently and maintain from 162 to 158 - I like a four pound window with a maximum weight of 165.

Sue/Easily - Onederland is just around the corner and it is a big deal...it makes me teary thinking about it!!! Totally cheering you on!!!

I'm in for sure!! I wanna hit 15 lbs down I know if I'm good and stay POP I can reach that... Especially if I start moving more!!
Anybody know what's going on with Alli??

I'll be up for the challenge

I have a trip to go on at Christmas and hope to look amazing, so a shorter term one sounds like a good jump start.

Missing People

Jessie.. I sure do know how you feel. I have been posting on this board for a year and half and at first when people left I would post asking where they were as I missed their words and friendship (Some I felt like a friend). It would hurt not seeing people that I had come to share this journey with. Sometimes they would come back and most of the time they are just gone (due to their circumstances or things in their lives that stop them from being here.. or their journey had stopped for awhile) Shoot.. even 3 months ago, we had 6 people posting here in Atkins and they all disappeared the same time (SarahinParis, Newme, Pixikat, Mara (tho I know you are here Mara) and bunches and bunches of others (I miss Elvis so very much) and others that I enjoyed spending time with).. It just happens.. (I know I am sad when it does too!)

New People come and we learn new things about them and our journeys. I enjoy You and Kathy, Antonia , Easily! newby Aiminglow and LULU and everyone else that is posting here... We just have to hope that those who were here and left, are just continuing their journey and found a different way... or will find their way back here!

Unless I win the lottery (HA HA HA!) I will be here for a LONG time. I need this place so very much! It has been such a big help to stop my plunges into the weight gains and gotten me thinking that posting helps me be accountable to myself (and to you all too!) So wish everyone who has been here in the past (ALI) well and hope we see you again!

Today is Day 1 of my refocus to goal!! Yeah sooo very excited!! Can't wait to permanently say goodbye to the 170s like I have for all the other decades!!

Sue - I agree -it is hard when people stop posting....I was a stalker for a couple of months before I ever posted on a thread....but this forum has helped me to stay on track/maintain....it is something I never did before on any previous journey!! I am more successful this time than ever before but it takes vigilance and I have to remind myself not to fall back into less healthy habits!!

Best wishes for an on-plan day!!

Way to put it all in perspective Sue thanks....

seeing so many rewards for staying POP and not having cheat days, it as come to the point where when I am presented with temptation I can easily refuse cause I don't wanna go backwards... and I remember when I started how impossible that was.

Well, I'm on my way in the right direction, feeling pretty happy today.

I know I'm a bit of a newbie, but I hope to be around for a while, it can be hard losing touch with people, I travelled for years and met so many amazing friends, some I've kept in touch with, some not so much. You gain a lot from everyone though, and I'm one if those people that believes everything happens for a reason, you learn and move on. I've had a very hard few years and am moving forward, just me and my two girls, so am also the happiest and most confident I've been too.
