So yesterday was kind of a mess for me. I didn't eat anything off plan, but I ate way too much of what I had. I think my calories came out to like 2600 for the day. Plus I was completely exhausted all day. I managed to get 1/3 of my yard mowed and cleaned Saturday, and another 1/3 done yesterday, but I had to do little bits at a time and then lay down to rest. I thought I was just really out of shape, but today I have a tremendous headache, my whole body aches, and I might have a slight fever. So I guess I was getting sick, and that's why I was so tired and hungry. I made it in to work, but I'm feeling worse every minute, and I already told my supervisor that I probably will have to go home early. Didn't weigh today as I barely made it to work on time.

Thanks. It kind if leveled of after I posted. I don't feel great, but not too bad. I managed to stay at work all day.

Also, I forgot to post this earlier, but my dog is now down 1.8lbs.

My weekend was tough. Angels game, Tequila festival, busy, eating out, etc. I did eat ok and avoiced the margaritas, but I think the killer for me was the SUPER salty peanuts at the ball game. I was up 2 pounds the next morning. I KNOW I didn't eat 2 pounds worth of food and certaily no sugar or any carbs to speak of. Total water weight I'm sure. This morning, I weighed in and was still up a bit, but down from Sunday morning. Hopefully, tomorrow morning will be back to what I was on Friday.

LuLu – Happy bday!!!! And I know what you mean about the comments to. Sometimes I get irritated by the comments about it and other times not – but for the most part I just try to take them as compliments and usually that’s how they are meant any way It’s funny how many people have such a skewed view of what Atkins is b/c I get that too – but if I say I’m just doing low carb – no weird comments about it!

Monte – hope you feel better!

Pam – I notice if I eat salty stuff it can affect me too But good part is it goes away quick too.

Thanks gals. I haven't weighed in this morning, but hope that gain is gone. I've noticed that we all go up and down and are losing weight slowly, despite eating low carb....but that's ok. We all will eventually get there and win the race!!! I'm proud that most of you keep coming back desipte the gains and post. A LOT of people would say skroo it and not come back. Just stick to it and get this darn weight off once and for good!! I know I'm committed.

As a note - losing weight slow is a good thing. Losing too fast on this way of eating can affect the gall bladder. Years ago, my mom lost 50 lbs on Atkins and ended up in the hospital to get her gb removed. It was the end of her weight loss and I think she put it all back on after. Slow and steady is safer!!

Also, I'm seeing rumblings now on the internet, facebook and youtube about this kind of eating. They call if HFLC (High Fat Low Carb). I guess they have to name it something other than Atkins to make it sound new...lol. My sister is currently on WW and doing pretty well. She is a lot like me tho, very carb sensative. I think she wants to stick to WW, but I told her to lay off the carbs as much as she can and she will lose faster. We'll see.

I'll edit to post my weigh in after my ....ehem....morning routine.

ALI and ANTONIA... Hooray on your new all time lows! WOOHOO!

Pam... Yep .. Low Carb and High Fat are now being talked about - again - in the media too which is good. So maybe people won't frown or furl their brow when we tell them how we eat! I have been on and off Atkins for 35 years...and I always lose more total weight on Atkins. This time tho,,, I am trying to eat more fat and not as much protein. Ups and downs I think also have to do with salt/stress/how much you eat/Muscle fatigue from working out etc and we all know that we will get past that hump and continue to lose!
