Default carb counter

Anyone use an app to count carbs? If so which one? I looked at MFP but not sure how to track the carbs.

I use LoseIt on my iphone. It was one of the first diet apps released (at least 6 months before MFP) and I've just never changed because it works for me.

It tracks everything - fat, calories, carbs etc and gives full carb count & fiber so you have to look yourself for "net" carbs - but I think all that data is helpful, to see the calories too and the older versions of Atkins (and the newer versions of low carb by Westman for example) watch total carb grams not "net" and I think it's useful even if you follow "net" to be able to see - because a lot of people stumble when they eat a lot of those carb counts that are in the subtraction zone (in particular sweeteners)...

In the end, it's really just about what interface you get used to, I think...

MFP counts the carbs for you and then I also asked for it to show the fiber. Just subtract the 2 and you have net carbs. FatSecret is also very good for low carbers.

Karen,

Check out Linda's low carb site. There are LOTS & LOTS of recipes and information that will be helpful to you. The recipes marked with an * are Induction friendly. All the carb counts etc. are broken down at the bottom of each recipe. She also has menu ideas

I use the Atkins carb counter - it doesn't break things down as much others, but it keeps carbs front and center so I like it for that reason.
