Walked 2.4 miles today. I'm going to try to get some Zumba in today too! Made plans with my walking buddy to walk Thurs. and Fri. So hopefully getting back on track with regular excercise!
I saw 209.6 on my scales after my walk so that was exciting!

I was wondering how many of us would be interested in keeping the excercise thread as an accountability thread rather than it being a "challenge" thread. See I know I could count on Calee to fuss at me if I started being lazy lol.

Great news....I'm making a solid plan for my 10K, strength, stretch and endurance. My friend at work is going to help and encourage me through it.

Sue - I always feel better after completing my walk!!!

Newme - sounds like a plan!! Want to keep posting here...I'm interested...seems like people drop in and out of threads all the time...at least in my experience...no hard and fast rules....and yes Calee is a great cheerleader - she tapped me on the shoulder recently and really helped me to re-focus!!

Smith - I'm with you!! I walked but no time for squats or arm curls - barely got my walking I before sunset - had to move my son home from UNH yesterday! Freshman year down!! Don't know where all the hours in a day go some times!!

Today - walk, really do arm curls and squats and to exercise my mind "coffee talk" with a girlfriend!! Probably going to exercise my mouth too!!!

Best wishes for an on-plan day!!!

Calee is our conscience and I LOVE IT! I ( I know I say this alot - but I appreciate you nudges... ALL of your nudges from ALL of you too! Boy I need them and seems like it is more and more... Gotta stop that habit.. but how lucky we are that we are here for each other!)

5/12 - day 1 Well I walked 3.3 miles 1 hour and I also did 25 squats
5/13 - D2 2.5 miles 50 minutes and did 25 squats and did arm resistance for 10 minutes

Yesterday I walked for 1 hour and totally talked my head off at a super long on-plan dinner. I did not do arm curls or squats so I have decided to bring the weights upstairs to my office because if they are right in front of me I may stand a better chance of actually doing what I said I was going to do!! Bad Lulu.....

I weighed today after 3 days and the scale did not budge...not sure what I expected it hasn't moved down in a long time....all I could think of is Calee trying to move away from the 150/149 mark.....the struggle is real!! Only thing to do is keep going!! May do a fat fast.....but I didn't make it past the first day the only time I tried it!! my plan is to weigh again next Friday and to really develop my exercise plan!!

Sue/Newme - Yahoo!!! Keep going!
Smith - A partner in crime is awesome!! Baby girl is walking with me a lot!! And it is good for both of us!!

Happy Friday!! Best wishes for an on-plan day!!

Anyone who will walk a mile around a conference table is a hero in my book!

Enough said.

Haha Calee that is sooo true! You rock Sue!
Sorry about the scale Lulu!
Good luck with your 10k training Smith. That is awesome!
Yes it is wonderful to have each other for motivation. As we have said before...we understand each other's struggle, and our friends and family who have never had weight issues will never be able to relate to us in the same way!
Well, Thursday's walk was rained out and I kept saying I was gonna Zumba...but...that never happened I did do some house work, and then worked some extra hours at our after hours peds clinic.
Did walk today tho...2.8 miles. And hopefully I will get some Zumba in today!

Happy Saturday - just checking in....walked yesterday but that's it......I think I'm going to attempt a fat fast this week because I am on the road Tuesday to Thursday. I looked at myfitnesspal and I logged in 169 on March 27th so it's been 7 weeks at the same weight....even for me that's a long time! I did start a new medication this week so I am hopeful that my doctor will start tapering down the prednisone next visit....I think that will help...not sure how much but that is a month away!! Just have to keep moving on my journey...it's not perfect but it's mine!! Best wishes for an on-plan day!!

Walked, curls and squats yesterday!!! Yahoo!!!! I did what I said I was going to do.....finally!!! Note to self: squats are getting better because I am placing my feet square with my shoulders!! Today squats and walk!!

Baby boy turns 20 today!! BBQ for dinner!! Yum!! Best wishes for an on-plan day!!

Smith/Sue/Carol - keep up the good work!!! (And Zumba sounds like fun!!)

Reflection: I think my plateau started when my prednisone was increased but I have to go back and check dates....I can't imagine where I would be if I wasn't doing Atkins right now and on prednisone.....yikes!!
