traveler - I have seen that about the fat, personally my fat % is around 60% most of the time too...

ali06 - welcome - you should set your SW (starting weight) from yesterday and your GW (goal weight) to be 5 pounds down from that & then you'll be all set! - everyone is welcome to join in mid-course, but everyone starts with a 5 pound goal so that it's fair for all - so on the day you join here your SW & CW (current weight) are always the same number. - but it looks like you're off to a great start, way to go!!! Maybe you should come join us in the "independence from pounds" challenge that runs until July 4th - that's kind of a daily check in thread...

SW : 186.4
CW : 186.2 (-0.2)
GW : 181.4

186.4 May 1
185.4 May 2
187.2 May 3
187.2 May 4
185.4 May 5
186.0 May 6
186.2 May 7
187.0 May 8 (14 days @ holding pattern)

Welcome ALI!

Sarah.. your holding pattern is something I am very familiar with.. Besides last weeks induction challenge.. I usually only lose weight during 1 week of the month and it seems like you have the same tendencies... I wonder if that is true for alot of us? (and I am way past TOM too)... but Thyroid is the Thyroid and still has a clock inside of it I think! LOL

Thanks, Sue, I needed that reassurance that it's "normal"

Gosh, I just realized how close you are to a momentous milestone.

Your perseverance through these plateaus is always inspiring but looking at that "99 lost" next to it reminds me that really it doesn't matter the speed as long as it's in the right direction!

Welcome Ali!! Looks like your doing great!
Welcome back Smith!

Well I decided to quit whining and really look at what I was eating...which was a lot of sodium! I cut back on that, drank a lot of water, and missed a meal Tues. Night due to issues at work, and ended up dropping over a pound Wed. and it stuck Thurs. Hopefully it will stay away!

I sooo love this diet.....steak/lobster last night with gin/dt sprite and still lost weight : ) my new favorite is mixing tuna/egg/garlic and spread it on spicy pork rinds
I got up to 185 and realized I didn't want to go that way again so I've got to get my legs moving more and my mouth moving less

Also, Smith- your life sounds much more interesting than mine...steak, lobster, and gin and tonics? Excellent.

LOL...just lucky enough to get days off together close to payday. We both work 50+ a week with our jobs so we tend to overindulge on our days off
