Renee, great to have you here with us.

I really get it about feeling judges. Thing is though, hiding doesn't help. I hav seen lots of big women who are stunning. Self confidence is really appealing. If people are going to talk trash, there is nothing we can do about their poor judgement. But you can be a big winner by getting out and walking. I'm old so I don't have to worrynaboutbwhatbpeople think anymore. I wish I knew that 30 years ago.

You get out there and strut your way to tea. We all deserve a great life, regardless of the size of our pants.

Let us know how we can support you.

Carol, yes I'm laying off the spray! I haven't had any leg cramps so I don't need it right now. I do feel less swollen in the morning.

You're right, I love watching a good race. I think the 220's are a really tough plateau to break. I spent so many years at 222.

Welcome Renee!! You can do it!!! I started walking last August after about 8 months on Atkins - I couldn't change all my habits at once!! I think you will be surprised by people as you keep changing during this journey!! Some people comment on my weight loss, some commented on keeping it up even on cold days, etc!! Just keep "walking toward fit" and away from fat!! We all start in a different place but we are all moving in the same direction!!

Calee - I think you made the comment about being in the 220s for a long time - me too - I spent my entire adult life there!!

Sue/wannaskipandlaugh - holy smoke!! Almost 100 pounds off!! I am so proud of you!!! And thank you for your encouragement for the past 18 months!! (Almost 18)

Best wishes for an on-plan day!! Lulu

Renee! So glad you are going to be a part of our group. These people are so wonderful, encouraging and kind and I am glad you are a part of us! We will be in control and take care of ourselves! Yes we will!

Pixikat - Oh don't you love those Margarita's! Yummy.. well that is all for me until next year.. but it just tastes better with the memory! I too had the Crab Nachos and leftovers last night... Just Crab, Cheese and sour cream.. but the tri colored chips are what did me in! After today I am back in the saddle!! (Birthday Pizza tonight with parents!)

I agree Calee... Who gives a Bleep what others say. Its what we say to ourselves that matters! We need to believe in ourselves and love ourselves. We are all unique and Marvelous people!

Lulu-- I too am so grateful for you! (You are showing me the way! with your patience) I cannot wait to do the -100 lb dance! Delayed a few days now... but it will happen next week I am hoping! WOOHOO

Easily.. I am so sorry about your heartburn.. OUCH! try alittle Apple Cider Vineager next time... Just a spoon full.. The acid in the vineager counter acts the heartburn!

Good morning!

Everyone is doing so awesome! Lulu, I feel like I haven't seen you as much lately, was happy to see your post come up. Yes, I spent most of my life at 222. It was my set point until I went up to 249.8. I'm so happy to not live there anymore.

Well, I am apparently going to inch my way to my July 4th goal. Ate great yesterday, exercised 90 minutes. 2 ounces gone. I must be riding on the back of a snail.

Calee - thank you for the kind words!! I read 3FC everyday and joined Sue's challenge last week!! I feel I'm in a holding pattern fluctuating at 169 and I'm reluctant to modify anything right now! I wore a pair of my goal pants on Monday and that felt great!! 5 pounds will make a big difference!! Two things are going on right now....after all this time my husband wants to focus on losing 25 pounds...WOW!! Blew me away!! And Baby Girl is being impacted by all the comments about my weight loss ....much harder to handle...when she says " I think you weigh less than me now!!" Yikes....and I want to be supportive and know she is ok!! She has the same struggle with weight that I've had all my life....I want to help her make good choices but not be "that mom"... You know the critical one....today the struggle is real!!

Lulu, my son writes for a living. We once saw an author speak. We randomly stumbled on her at a bookstore in New Orleans. What stood out most for my son was evidenced by our conversation later that afternoon. She said a person can't be both your critic and your supporter. He asked me to be his biggest supporter, which I've always been. The world is full of critics. Be your daughters biggest fan. Lead by example. Cheer her victories that she shares with you. Hopefully most won't be about weight but joys in her life. My son is 40 and we are incredibly close. We travel together every year because we enjoy each other. He gets home from Berlin as often as he can. I think the fan/critic thinking is so beneficial. You go for your best self. Everyone has their own path and your DD will be just fine.

Still inching towards goal here!

My friend and I decided that pulling an all nighter studying would be a good idea, so because I never went to bed and woke up, I never weighed. I work til noon then I will be crashing until 6pm-ish, maybe I will weigh then.

In other news, doctor prescribed me Adderall for my ADHD yesterday, I am interested to see if it helps with my weightloss

Thanks to Sarah for sending me here! I feel silly, I've seen this thread, I thought it was old lol -- thinking past July 4th HA!

But accountability is great for me so I'm psyched to get started here!

Goals:
Continue to stick to Induction with no slip ups
Weigh Daily
Walk my driveway (over a mile with steep inclines to and from) 3x a week
Continue counting carbs daily
Make sure I keep veggie carbs in that 12-15 range
Loose 12 lbs

SW 340.6
CW 340.6
GW 328.6

For those counting steps --- any recommondations on a pedometer? That's not $100 lol Prob $25 is the most I'm willing to spend right now.

Hey, do you have any suggestions for a FOCUS week topic for next week?

I'm off for our first kid-free weekend in 2 years - expecting I will NOT be happy with he scale on Monday...

Ideas?

Sue don't let the scale dent your happiness! You had a great few days, I'm sure, spending time with those you love. And unless you went crazy binging all that is just water weight that'll flush off in a few days. Just get back on it now that the celebrations are done and I am sure you will still be right on track to hit goal by 7/4

4/21 - 250.6

So I like seeing a new number in the 30s, but I suspect I am dehydrated from all the caffiene on wed night during the all nighter. I will see what happens.

Good Morning!

I found a new burger place last night. I love me a Good organic burger. I live in a condo with no grill and I can't make a great burger at home. Organic meat, organic cheese and lettuce. Can't beat that for $10. Generally they are $15 but this was more a student cafe. Perfect without the bun on a bed of lettuce.

I'm excited to soon jump under 149. I went to a thrift store and bought a new pair of Calvin Klein capri pants for the safari. Still a touch snug though friend said I can wear today. Size 6! So these are my safari goal pants. I want them to be loose. I'm really a size 8. 6 is my ultimate dream. Please remember I joined LCF in 1999 and have been working towards this since I joined OA in 1989. This has not been a straight nor easy journey to where I am today. These last 10 are so difficult.

Next weeks personal focus or me will be to continue to keep my carbs and calories low. Ive got th other pieces in place. I find it tough to do more than just say hi in the other thread. This is where I focus.

Have a fun day!
