Hi gang!

Too much sodium yesterday! I got signed up for a three day conference in Palm Springs May 18-20. It's a lways a carb Fest. I have to skinny down before I go so that I don't do damage to my summer goals. Saying this to help me stay focused.

May 1 149.8. I have weighed within a pound of this on feb, march, April 1st. Time to make a Difference on June 1st!

July 4th Challenge GW: 144

Oh big news. Yesterday I was able to manage walking. 5k in 88 degree heat. That was after walking 1/2 mile home from work. Had to ice ankle ll evening but it's ok this mornin. Slept like a baby.

Pixikat - I drive myself nuts over wanting perfect grades. Missing the one question is almost as bad as failing the test. So close to perfection. Way to go for acing a final!

Easily - sodium creeps up on me even when I'm trying my hardest to cut it out. Good for you for no soy and portion control. I have to remind myself of these things all the time!

Sue - This whole pregnancy has stayed very surreal feeling. We didn't expect it and have been so busy with our other babies that we haven't had time to slow down and enjoy it the same way. It may just be how it is when you get into the "over 2 kids" group. My original goals were to be at or under 180 by May 15th. I'm bummed I won't hit it anytime soon. So I'm just hoping for under 200 (or lower) by my birthday Oct 25th. The summer heat is not going to be enjoyable but it will be bearable since we have a pool =] It just needs to be in the 80s for a week and I'm hopping in!

Day 1, DONE! I'm so proud of me because literally staying on track has become so hard. I've just gotten out of the habit of "Needing" to make healthy choices so it's easier to not worry about it. Now I've gotta get something together for supper. Making good choices! I hope everyone is having a fabulous Thursday. I'm always more hungry on Thursdays. No idea why.

Start: 254
Goal: 235
4/23: 254
4/24: 250.2
4/25: 248.6
4/26 - 4/29 : no WI
4/30: 255.8
5/1: 252.0

easily amused - I am NOT 10lbs down, I was at 238/239 then I went out of town for easter weekend and ate carbs all weekend so I retained a bunch of water. I wish I was down that much

Sounds like you guys are doing great with your focus challenge!
Hope your finals go great Pixi! My daughter has them this week and next.
I think you will make your goal Calee. If your like me it's easier when you have a trip or special occasion your working toward! I go on a mission trip to Peru every 1-2 years and I try to always have my weight down some and be walking 3 miles a day before I go, so that the high altitude doesn't bother me as much. Plus the airplane seat fits better lol!
Nagazim I think you are doing awesome to even be doing a diet/WOE during a pregnancy!
Great job reaching that low weight Easily Amused! You and Sue will be joining me soon in the 2-teens.

I'm getting really frustrated here. I know the problem is me and my inability to keep my calories low enough. The only times I have steadily lost was when I was doing slim fast and stuck to 1200 calories a day and used their shakes bars and had lean cuisines for dinner. I don't remember being constantly as hungry then as a am now but I think it was because I was busier there and no way to get food between scheduled meals/snacks. I also was broke so I couldn't just decide to go out for dinner. Some days I am ready to say screw real food and go back to slim fast, lean cuisines and fruit snacks. ----end rant----

pixikat - Some days I wish I didn't know how good clean eating is for me, or how bad processed junk is for me. Then I could continue to eat in ignorant bliss and not have to put forth so much effort into meal prep/cooking. I hope a big whoosh is coming your way!

newme - if anything, the idea of a diet has kept me from totally going nuts with weight gain. I haven't kept with it for more than 2 weeks at a time during this entire pregnancy but have managed to come back to healthy eating after every backslide. I think that in itself is a success for me since I normally gain 70 lbs while "eating for two."

Sue - no salt would probably be good for me. I use sea salt and try to not eat anything packaged, but I know some still creeps in. Sugars are being easier this go around but I've promised myself to not go too low on carbs so I'm eating fruit at least once a day and that's help my with my sugar addiction.

Today is officially day 3 and in the 2 previous days I've lost 6.2 lbs of water weight! That's NUTS! My body is feeling so much better. I feel like I can actually breathe and that maybe there's a little more room for baby to grow in the next 9 weeks. I'm gonna be thrilled to see July though! So, marching onward into the weekend with determination to NOT eat crappy food.

Carol, I do well with goals but it seems to just keep me treading water. I haven't been able to get back to 145 except when doing Whole 75 last year. I am so resistant to dropping weight.

Hang in this weekend everyone.

My awful project at work finally got done after 2.5 months of working full time on it. I haven't often any of my own work own. I've lost so much sleep since mid February when this got dumped on my lap to fix. After work I walked 3 miles to the dentist. I really thought I deserved a treat. Then I remembered our commitment here and instead I came home for a romaine salad with three ounces top round nd two ounces goat cheese. I'm happy that I just came home instead of stopping. So, thank you all!

Calee.. you have such commitment.. Gosh working on a project that long and FINISHING it! Good for you! but still.. yikes.. Cool on your walk to your dentist That is neat! and now you get to take care of you! Hugs to you and your hard work (work and overriding that little voice in your head!)

Pixikat... You are stressed too and that causes weight gain. Can I offer alittle tiny advice? Try not to eat the Atkins treats.. they really do stall alot of peoples weight loss (mine for sure!).. Try 1 day without and see what the scale says. I am sorry to tread on your treat choices. but would like to have you down here in the 20's with me!

Nagazim! WOW. the lower carb way of eating, Really suits you!

Easily... just a blip! you will be back down to your lowest and then drop farther!.. I am CATCHING UP!

Sue, I seem to have picked up your losses. .

I ate well and walked 90 minutes yesterday. Purple ketostix and didn't et much fat. Got up 2x in the night to pee. Was sure I'd whoosh away the water, but no!

Going to walk the 5k around the lake this morning. Then see a girlfriend for the afternoon.

Sue- no worries lol I actually don't eat them that much, this week I found a box in my pantry I had bought awhile ago when they were on sale and it became my treat to try to avoid stress eating off plan food. I ran out though and they are like $6 for a box of 5 so until they go on sale again they are gone.

calee - good job for passing up on a treat! the dinner you did have sounds delicious!
