Aww ladies - remember you haven't failed until you quit trying!!

We ALL fall off the wagon from time to time - no one is perfect - and in the journey we can't get so wrapped up in numbers and carbs and calories that we forget to live too! We ARE more than numbers on a scale, or a mesuring tape!

It's striking a balance right?

We all know that if we go off of low carb we will regain what we have lost and we'll have to start back at square one or worse.

So what's important is to find a way to balance our lives with our diet.

Sue - have the pizza!! Skip the crust! Bring something along to snack on to help fill the void b/c we all know pizza toppings only go so far lol

Sarah - enjoy your time with family and friends - and you are so right, i really believe 99% of this is all mental. That's where the battles take place for us.

I have lost 30 some pounds and still feel like a whale - and I have a feeling I'll always feel that way b/c I have lost down before and still always see myself as HUGE! Even though now I look back at pics from then and wanna kick myself for being so stupid.

But no matter how far or long our journey to our goal weight is - this journey will be with us always, it is not a destination, because even when we arrive, we know how quick we can regain - we have to find ways to stop sabattoging ourselves and enjoy the lives we live within the frame of our ---- NOT diet --- way of eating, lifestyle.

You ladies can do this!! Just take it one meal at a time. Don't worry about the previous one, or the future ones. Just the one you are having right now and make it on plan.

I think it is diet fatigue and fear and (in my case - who cares but me anyway attitude - fatigue again)... Jessie.. get back on the wagon with us... Sarah - i so understand the mental hurdles! I think one of the reasons I regained when I was at 202 was because I can't remember being lower than 200 and I think part of me was scared as crap and it was easier to eat the things that comfort me then the things I was losing on.

We can all do it! we are in the last stretch, it doesn't matter how close or far you are from your original goal, set your mind to it this week and see how far you can get today til friday!

Hi - Just wanted to check in and encourage everyone to keep going!

Pixi and Ali -kudos for being awesome cheerleaders!!
Sue - Congrats on picking yourself up and dusting yourself off!! The journey is not perfect but just look at how far you have come!! Remember 100 pounds off is no joke!! And remember what my doc said last year....10 pounds off is a benefit and you are 10 times that!!

Sarah - didn't you do a fat fast before one of your weekends....I think the restriction of the fat fast might lead to "rebound" eating!! (At least for me...)

Jessie - wondering how it went with the cheese fries...I have food porn swimming around my head everyday .....the struggle is real!!

I think it is safe to say I did not do well during this particular challenge, for no reason other than my on-going depression and lack of commitment. The summers are so rough for me -- weird, I know, but the high heat where I live absolutely zaps me, and the evenings are spent in front of the AC with a book. Days are spent in an air-conditioned office. Have re-committed myself, however, and even stocked the frig with some decent food. Who's up for a Labor Day challenge?

sue- its coming off, just be patient with it! And drink lots of water.

ok lizzy- The summer does the same for me, the heat makes me not want to exercise at all! the last month my exercise has been dwindling from 4+ a week to maybe twice a week because of the heat. Labor day is the next challenge we have discussed but I don't think a thread has been made yet

I went on a hike yesterday. 2.81 miles of pure up then down then up again. It was supposed to be closer to 5 miles but I got a face full of something and had a bad reaction in my sinuses and lungs, I could breathe but not deep enough to navigate all the hills. it forced our group to split up, one of my friends stayed with me and the other 2 hiked back to the car and met us at a parking lot closer to where we had been. I felt so bad I definitely had the "ugh of course the fat girl can't do it when the 3 skinny girls are fine" type self doubting nasty thoughts. Even thought it obviously started after we walked through a clump of something hanging in the trail, and then I had that feeling in the sinuses/lungs that was similar to after using eucalyptus oil or vicks vapo rub, like the oils some how made it IN the sinuses. but instead of opening them up like with vicks it felt like it was making it harder to process air. It faded away to almost nothing after 30 minutes of fresh air and was fully gone after I washed my face so I didn't worry about seeing a dr or anything.

I think my head went there so easily because I was already the slowest of the group. Going up kills my speed so bad, and I'm clumsy so going down I slowly pick my way down so I don't fall and break something.

anyways, after I got home I had no energy and didn't want to cook or go out, and the only places open were pizza and chinese. so we ordered pizza, I planned to get thin crust and eat the toppings/cheese only but my hubby forgot and it came on regular crust and i caved. so now I may have to suffer through keto flu and flushing off water. If I can stay on track til the 4th maybe I can enter the labor day challenge at the lower end of my current weight range. I have entered every challenge on an upswing. though, the 4th is the 4th which usually means drinking and drinking means water weight. We will see i guess

Last weigh in was on 06/28 --- 318.6, yesterday the scale gave me like 5 different readings between 317 and 319 so I just stayed off it yesterday and today lol I'll get back on tomorrow.

I've been all on plan, except I have not been drinking water like I need to - trying to get that back on focus.

It's almost noon here and I have about 12 hours worth of work left to finish today - it's end of month insanity for me, I hate this week every month. I've done good to stay on target for what I eat, but excercise is out the window.

July 4th goal is 318 so I'm super close.

Keep going ladies!!!!! Final stretch!!!!

Pixi.. oh gosh. I am sorry about the reaction you had to whatever was hanging on the plants/in the air/ YIKES! and its not your weight.. you are good to go.. its that irratant! Shoot and I know you were disappointed.. But that was yesterday. I would make a plan to go do it again with your friends and take some Benadril with you when you go and KICK those butts of your friends!
