Sue...wow! You are sooooooo close! Please...no self sabotage!
Calee I think 7-9 was the age range I started "plumping up" and it has definitely been a struggle ever since. I hope I can come finally 'overcome' the battle as you have!
Carri I definitely had some headaches last week when I was getting back on plan...but TOM hit about the same time so its hard to say exactly what had me feeling bad!
Sarah your right...Not being prepared mentally and physically can definitely set us up to fail! It is very easy to say...oh I don't have the food I need to stay on plan so I might as well eat what I want tonight. Or... its just not fair...its a party and everyone else is eating what they want why can't I...Without a doubt, having the on plan food and the "talk" with ourselves before the party will enable our chances of being successful!
Pixi are you back in school yet?

Morning !!! So I finally had the nerve to get on the scale this morning after last weekend’s 3 day carb fest and ……………………I’m still up 2.2lbs …ick …I did have a pretty salty dinner last night ( pizza skillet , one of my faves ) …so that might be part of it …but hope to have some movement in a good way come Monday or Tuesday …don’t know if you guys use the strips, but I checked this morning and I was in ketosis ( usually I only use those during an induction phase, I know some people think they aren’t a good way to tell anything ) – so I’m feeling I’m back on track.

Sue !! I didn’t realize that you had lost over 100lbs …that is so awesome and inspiring …I bet it is the salt you had last night …I’m betting by tomorrow or Sunday you are back in the two teens.

Carol – yeah, unfortunately my TOM is next week so I’m pretty sure the headaches may stay around for a while …

Yes, you ladies should try that recipe …it was so good …I love Mexican food and really miss my tortillas…so I have been on the lookout for something like this. I am going to make it on Sunday and divide it up in dishes for my work lunch all week ..it’s really filling with all that chicken protein.

Here’s to an OP weekend for all of us …and not what happened to a few of us last weekend, lol . I have a busy weekend so I might not pop in here.

Good morning,

Sue, you will gt back to the teens and it will stick soon. You always gt down and your body fights you for the higher number, then gives in.

Congrats to everyone for hanging in there.

I'm still trying not to obsess bout the numbers and just stick to plan. I'm finding I can see a gentle drop in ounces daily if I stay focused and stick to LC. I have been eating a few more veggie carbs in the form if lettuce and celery, adding. Bit of red pepper and red onion to the evening salad. I'm back to a lower wight from March but we're only talking 3-4 pounds. I'm making my July challenge weight if I have to fast the last few days. I'm finally back to a good exercise routine after that month off because of my ankle injury. I think it helps me.

Son is coming home today for 10 days. Always more eating out. I can stick to plan. Today I am making a pot of Paleo Choolate Chili. Light on the tomatoes, heavy on the organic grass fed beef. I want an easy grab nd go in the fridge for the two of us.

Lethe a fun day everyone!

This thread sounds great . Just started Atkins last week and lost 5 lbs. previously lost 30 lbs on Atkins, but gained back and more. I am motivated and can do this. Best of luck to all.

Morning …hope you all had a great weekend …mine was very nice, great weather, hung with some good friends and spent a lot of time outside…weekends go by so fast and before you know it here I am back in this cubicle for another 5 days straight …

I did my weigh in and I was back to 205 …funny how I was 3 lbs up that whole week and then my body just went back into fat burning mode and all of it was back off , probably mostly water weight anyhow …

I started my TOM today so I know this week will be a nightmare with cravings and up some weight ...not looking forward to that

Welcome CajunChik !!!!

Sue- it did just FLY through the 30s, but given my body just kinda froze in the low 40s for about 6 months it OWED me lol :P

It also helps probably exercise has been on point for the last 4 or 5 weeks for the first time in a year or more. I have my trainer 1-2 times per week (scheduled twice but he is a single dad so things happen!) One of my friends at work and I are making it a point to either walk for an hour or swim for an hour together 2-3 times per week. And I have been trying to get in and do the elliptical once or twice a week as well.

It has probably been helping with my stress as well as torch those extra calories.

class hasn't caused much stress yet, we just finished the review sections and started the first chapter we are going to work on. That chapter is just functions i.e. f(x)= 3x^2+6x+9, find f(6) -- this is still pretty much review for me. It has been a couple years but I find the algebra stuff super simple. Once you add geometry based math in I am in tears though! My friend is the exact opposite and she is taking college algebra over the 1st summer session (5 weeks! yikes!) so we have been having LOTS of study/tutoring sections!

Lulu! where are you!!!!! get back in here girl!!!

Carri - sounds like a GREAT weekend! the body is tricky tricky! but if you started your period, once it is over you may be even lower!!! just be careful with those cravings! What do you normally crave? if it is sweets have you tried any mug cake recipes? A girl I follow on tumblr raves over this one

25g butter
15g flaxseed
15g dark cocoa powder
1 egg
2g granulated sweetener

Mix up in a cup & microwave for 30 seconds, mix it & leave, eat half raw because food never tasted so good.

but I know there are also protein powder based ones too.

I have a ton of keto friendly recipies tagged on my tumblr, sweet and savory, you can look through just the recipie posts here:

Another good trick I forget about is chop a quest bar into chunks and microwave it for 10-20 seconds, it tastes like baked goods. The chocolate chip cookie dough is the best I think.

Of course IDK if they are easily available where you live so may not help a sudden craving. GNC usually has ok prices on them
