Ok, it's time to face the music, my short weekend to Bilbao has netted me up about 2 stubborn pounds, and taken me off track to meet this goal, so it's time to focus & get back to basics.

I had hoped that a few days of low-carb eating would be all it would take to get back to my pre-trip weight, but alas, it's not that simple.

I'm really determined to get off 5 pounds by the end of June, although it would be even better to shed a couple more and actually meet this goal of 179 by July 4th, but if I'm a few pounds shy but have made 5 pounds of progress I'll be satisfied.

My major commitments :

- weigh in daily (I already do this)
- step count over 10,000 at least 1 day a week
- count calories/carbs at least 2 days a week
- no dairy other than grass fed butter

SW : 189.0
CW : 187.4 (-1.6)
GW : 179.0 (and this will put me out of OBESE & merely "Overweight" per BMI

Until I weigh in at 182.4 I will track my food. I'm pretty tired of tracking actually, and am really looking forward to loosening up for a bit this summer (with daily weigh ins to make sure I don't backslide) but this week my "getting back on track" was without tracking and obviously that wasn't enough.

Also on the chopping block until the weight is under 182.4 (5 pounds) is : no more of my raspberry/coconut milk smoothie at night (too delicious, many calories, and my portions have gotten out of control). And cutting back on bacon again, I went a little overboard with it this week. I don't regret it, as bacon is one of those foods that I turn to when I find low carb hard (like when I'm getting back on track) but it's easy to have too much sodium and once I start eating it I find it hard to stop... I am also going to hold off further food reintroductions until after I hit this weight goal, as one of the strategies I'm using is reducing the variety in my diet, so I don't want an "excuse" to add more variety.

Pxikat! on the grades! Good... no GREAT for you! Calculas... that was my bane too in college... I took it twice and got C's both times and I LOVE Math.. just not this kind!

I was in a funk (besides being tempted badly and giving in... oooooo that little voice in my head got really loud!).. I am needing to do induction again.... Will start in a few days (need to finish the onplan food I have still in the fridge as I do not and cannot afford to throw it out). Funny where you gain weight on your body after losing so much... BELLY.. yep.. LOL well better than my Arse or thighs! I have walked and been good with that part of this challenge...

Calee I'm seeing that salty foods really affect me too. More than they use to. I haven't been taking blood pressure medicine since it's been better. That may be why?

Sarah and Sue I'm right there with you. I did not have a planned "off-plan" break but I have realized I have been doing many little things that have added up to little... or no weight loss, recently. So...I'm gonna do better!

PIXI wow.. look at that weight! Shedding the stress weight too.. and please don't go by my grades... I also hated Geometry.. (Love love love Algebra!) My Calculas was science based (I was a Zoology major) and I also took this class when I had joined a Sorority and was attached to a Fraternity.. so I am thinking this class suffered (Tell you how crazy I am.. I still have my Calculas book from that college class that I took 1977! LOL)

Sarah and Carol! Lets go forward now! Today is a new day and we can do it for today ... Yes we can!

Easily... You are amazing... you just keep dropping the weight (even the .2 is a drop and woohoo!)

Sue you may be right about shedding the stress weight! It probably helps that the adderall I was put on keeps me at the low end of my eating range, a lot less snacking! I hate geometry too! But algebra is a snap. calculus 1 starts a week from tomorrow so I will let you know how it goes

It is wonderful sue, it is like a switch was flipped and I am suddenly whooshing off the last 4 months worth of loss. Hopefully it keeps up a steady pace until the low 20s where I will stall again if I follow my normal pattern. For the record, it doesn't need to be this fast and steady, a pound or two a week and I'll be happy. Though this 4 pounds in 4 days has been awesome

Hi Ladies - can I join in ? Sarah told me about your group.

I'm Carri, live in Indiana, am 40 yrs old, married with no kids, work at an insurance company for the last 15 years. I just started Atkins/low carbs in March. So far so good, although I've had my moments...it's a learning curve I think.

My goal by July 4th is too be under 200 ...I'm pretty sure I can do it if I stay on track.

Sarah - I think it was just the fact I spent a bunch of days in a row at the low end of my calorie range. It seems to have caused a whoosh.
