173!! So just a small blip that pretty much made me lose my mind yesterday!! True confession: I have an irrational fear that I will gain everything back overnight...EVERYTHING!!

Still fighting the head cold while everyone else seems to be better!! I didn't have time to work out yesterday but I will be on the elliptical today as I will be pretty much snowbound for 2 days!!

Excellent progress Topaz!

Lulu, I have that same fear about them all coming back overnight. Hate that!

I'm back where I started. That's what I don't like about low carb. A few days of more carbs nd BAM those pounds are back.

I have a houseguest both this weekend and next weekend, but no reason to go off plan. I'm going to make a run for my Easter goal.

St. Pat's on Monday and I am no closer to 160s.....cold is still hanging on and weight is steady....thinking about a fat fast but I only lasted one day last time!! Best wishes for an on-plan day!! If I can catch that little rascal, I'm planning low carb groundhog stew for dinner....so.tired.of.winter!!!

Lulu.. Shoot... I know what you mean about thinking you can gain back everything. BUT that WON'T EVER HAPPEN. We all know that we never want to feel or look that heavy ever again. Won't Happen! We are smarter than a 5th grader and won't let go I believe you are due a whoosh... A BIG TIME Whoosh!

Good morning!

I put on 3 pounds last week. Down 1 today. No pilates because of UTI infection. Had to start antibiotics yesterday. Will still walk to work and back. I'm back on mostly meat and eggs. I feel better eating this way.

Topaz!!! Great job!

Wow I haven't been on all week. this week went by fast..

It's that time of the month again. so I am showing up 1.5 pounds.
aRGH!. but it is what it is..
Very super excited My parents modular home is in. going to get to walk through it today and see it.. They wont be moving in until end of the month..
Going to be so nice to have family here.

Happy Friday!! Finally starting to feel a little better!!! My pants are getting really loose but the scale...well it's the scale!! I read and interesting article on www.cnn.com about circuit training...it's only a 7 minutes routine!! I think I can commit to 7 minutes a day along with my elliptical routine!! The idea is to do 30 seconds of one exercise 10 seconds of rest for 12 different exercises. All you need is a wall and a chair you can step on. You do as many of that one exercise as you can in 30 seconds. The exercises are jumping jacks, wall squat, push-ups, abdominal crunch, step up (as in step up onto a chair and back down) squat, tricep dip, plank, high knees (stepping in place), lunge, push up rotation (a push up where you lift one arm up to the side), side plank. Have to admit the planking and push-ups will be major trouble spots!! But I am going to give it a try...7 minutes...I'm totally worth it!! Best wishes for an on-plan day!!

Lulu- the circuit training sounds interesting. Lol...I might have to leave off the push ups and planking!

Good morning lovelies,

I'm so happy it is Saturday and I have another day with my friend who came from the east coast. Late afternoon I hav to take her up to her retreat but she comes back for mother night when the retreat ends. We went out for a nice dinner with two of my close friends that she has gotten to know. I splurged on 1 glass of red wine and the rest was steak and roasted veggies. Quite yummy. The good news is that it did not throw me out of ketosis and I'm down almost a pound today.

Carol, push ups and planks are hard but start slow. When I was over 200 I started with wall push ups. Find an online video, check the form and get started. You are going to want muscle when the weight comes off o your skin is better. We o a lot of planking in Pilates. I am starting to get the regular plank. The side planks. Foretaboutit!

Lulu, you sound like you're feeling better?

Sue, I'm waiting at the 229.9 gate for you. I'm here to cheer you on!

Ames, it's nice to see you so excited about your parents.

I think we may be going over to the coast today. It's supposed to be 75 today! On my way home tonight I'll stop at Costco and survey the meat situation for the week.

Calee I knocked and you LET ME IN! I am at 229.8 this morning and after my walk I was even lower. I AM IN THE 220's I AM - All I can say to myself is WOW! I am impressed with myself! oh so happy! I feel lighter too . You know Calee (and everyone else) I would not be seeing this number without your encouragement. So I salute you for what you helped me with! THANK YOU!

There was Saturday school up here to make up for one of the snow days...so they held the winter carnival for the kids...anyway took baby girl to breakfast at our local diner before school....owner of the place doesn't bat an eye as I order a bacon cheeseburger no bun lettuce tomato onion for breakfast. The she commented how good I look to which I respond "not bad considering I can have a cheeseburger for breakfast!!"

I started my circuit training...my 7 minute work out is more like 10-12 minutes because I am trying to figure out the routine and I can't really do a push-up or side plank....I don't imagine my side plank is really suppose to look like me laying on the floor!! HA! Anyway it will get better!! Still doing my elliptical because I really feel I need the calorie deficit just to maintain where I am and to eventually get to 160 which seems soooooo far away!! The scale says I'm up so I am determined to focus on what I am putting in my mouth...traveling this week...so can't weigh Tuesday to Thursday!! Best wishes for an on-plan day!!

Sue - Congrats on the 220s!!! It is so exciting to get to a new decade!! Can't wait to be able to say the same myself!!!

Sue, this is touching. I know absolutely nothing about you except the number on you scale and I feel quite emotional about your reaching this milestone on your journey towards improved health. You are doing a fine job of it. I remember how difficult every pound is to get off. Most of us are not of the loser variety that just its carbs or calories and the weight falls off. We have to work for every pound. So a truly heartfelt bravo and job well done on this. Now to focus on 225. You are a rock star!

Lulu, good story on the cheeseburger!

I went out to a lovely lunch/dinner (it was 3 and really only meal of the day) with my girlfriend from back east. We sat out on a lovely garden terrace eating wonderful food. The warm spinach bacon salad with almonds and a few dates was more divine than I can say. I ate what was left for an 8pm snack. I did share a dessert of flour less chocolate cake with her. California plate means very small. I thought I might show a big gain this morning but only 2 ounces. It did not throw me out of ketosis. Thank you body. On to a new week of meat and eggs. Will save my 1 meal refeed of carbs until my friend comes back next Sunday.

Off on a 90 minute walk this morning. Have a fun day everyone!
