Hope everyone is doing great!! Holding at 173 - no whoosh fairy for me!!

Pixikat - you are getting ready for a new decade!!
RDexter - sometimes you don't see big losses just steady losses over a long period of time. I average about a pound a week but some weeks nothing goes and some weeks it seems 3 pounds go. I have a "frustrating" relationship with the scale! Like my husband, it never tells me what I want to hear!! HA!! (Just kidding) but knowing my weight keeps me directed toward my goal...a lot of people take measurements as another gauge and I really wish I had some good posed before pictures to compare to where I am today.

Best wishes for an on- plan day!!

WOOHOO Pixikat... Yep you are going to be in the 230's SOON! Yay!!

rdexter... me too... I lose slowly and like Lulu.. I just whoosh 1 week of the month (even tho I do not get TOM anymore).. That is just the way it works in my body LOL Next week????!!! I hope!!

Okay.. finally lost last weeks gain.. FINALLY!

1/2 244.6 (+.8 well eh... salty BBQ Shrimp last night and leftover NY eve showing up)
1/3 (244.8 (+1.0 total) YUCK going the wrong way.. Ate salty salty salty ham for lunch yesterday... Salad today!!! lol
1/4 243.4 (-.4 total) salad did the trick.. and the 2.25 mile walk (3rd day in the row 2.25 or 2.5+ mile walks) Back in the right direction too!
1/5 242.8 (-1.0 total) Hooray! I willed it I swear! LOL Funny.. when I do believe it will happen.. it does! ahhhh my motto rings true.. I just have to remember!
1/6 243.6 (-.2) well at least I am still at a loss LOL SALTY SALTY food last night (Out with parents as they are leaving on Vaca for 2 weeks)
1/7 244 (+.2) ggrrrrrrrr Holding more water (maybe because of the colder weather?! to keep warmer?? Waiting for the flush and WOOSH! LOL

176.5.....gotta get 2.5 down (174) by the end of the week to stay within my acceptable loss range to make goal. Ate well, had two potato chips and salmon salad for dinner.

Cold outside tonight (Freeze warnings here in South Florida YIKES!) Gotta cover my orchids and potted plants and my growing coconut palm... and MY parents plants too.. they have been on a cruise and won't be back until tomorrow and its 30's tonight.. yikes Gonna get my exercise in this afternoon and tonight with sheets and blankets over the babies!

Hello,
I've been messing around with carbs and my scale is definitely reflecting it at 152.8 this morning. I'd like to join in this challenge to help me remember that I'm committing to low carb "again". I've been a member here since 1999 but recently got a new user name. Low carb got my weight off so now I'm back for my tune up. I'm a slow slow loser even with under 25 carbs. Thanks for letting me join you!

Sue - I love,love ,love orchids!!! I have have a patch of lady slippers that grow in my yard and look forward to them every year!!

Pixikat - keep up the good work!! It takes time!!

Yahoo!! 172!! 6 pounds less than my lowest adult weight!!!! Did I ever tell you that 160(my realistic goal weight) is the weight I was in 10th grade before I ever started dieting? I really feel stupid for ever starting to "diet" in the first place - all these years and all the anguish!! 160 at 5-6 is about 7-8 pounds overweight - not a big deal at all - honestly what was I thinking? Reality check!!

LULU lol we all want to be when we were young and free from world stresses... So of course we want to weigh what we did back then!. But you are sooooooooooooooooooooooo close to your goal now.. 12 lbs... 12 LBS!! That is it... that's all!!! Pretty soon it will be single digits and that is just AWESOME! ME.. I am having a HAPPY FRIDAY big time! I wooshed and am so close to the next decade (I have been in the 240's since August - well had a bad scale that was off by 14 lbs so I had to come back down to them.. but 6 months !ARGH!!!!. My old scale shows 226 tho.. "GRINNING HERE!"

Hi ladies! I don't know if some of you remember me I have been gone for a long time but I plan this time to be back for good I started this again on the 13th officially unofficially on the 10th ( i needed a few days to gear up and clean out my house lol) I would like to join you too if thats ok.... my start weight is 217 sadly the highest I have been with out a baby growing inside me. My current weight is 212. good luck to everyone!! I would like to lose 10-15 lbs by valentines but I know it will slow down after these first few weeks.

Thank you all for your welcome! I'm quite inspired by all the hard work happening here. I had great resolve yesterday until the work breakfast. Then I literally tossed my resolve aside for a wheat product and I try so hard not to eat wheat. I was not expecting boss to walk in with breakfast.

At least I was ble to organize lunch for the 8 of us from a cafe next door. I had a burger, no bun with salad no fries. So I felt better about it.

The left over wheat victims are in my office. I get there first and will take them down to the street guys.

It's a new day and I won't let this slow start derail me.

Lulu, you're so close to your goal! How many years since you've been there? Yay so close!

Calee - I celebrated my 1 year Atkins anniversary on January 7th - but I didn't sign up for this forum until a month later - I was a virtual stalker for a little bit until I got the nerve up to start posting! Sue celebrated her 1 year on Jan 6. (Right? Sue..) (this is my second time around - I lost really fast about 10 years ago but fell off track....but now I'm back for good)(How many year since I've been at goal? Answer: my entire adult life...)

Pixikat - keep going and the scale will eventually say what you want!!
