Hi All, Was just wondering what everyone was eating today, how today went for everyone? today was my first day so maybe overdid it on the bacon lol.. then had some brussel sprouts and chicken, with celery as a snack.. Good Morning to you Clarington :)
I eat 2 eggs (omelet) with 1 slice of cheese and sausage links (or pattys) for breakfast every morning... for 9 months now.. LOL and I change out the cheese... Cheddar or Provolone or Muenster... and sometimes I have bacon too (its very salty... so not to often for me) Lunch.. I usually have Boa*rs head turkey rolled up with a little cheese and full fat mayo (use to use Miracle whip.. but that has sugar) or a romaine salad with left over grilled chix or taco meat and crumbled bacon Dinner... That's where I do the salad if I have not had it for lunch or the 6 carb pita and make a pizza with sausage or canadian bacon or grilled chix.. its soooo good and my treat once a week.. or I make grilled chicken then broiled with a coating of Parmesian and spices as the coating OH YUM! That's my usual! :) |
What I ate today
Hi all, I am Sara and I have been lurking for awhile. I am about 10 days into induction and have lost almost 6 lbs from 248 to 242.6 this morning. I have been a dieter since my teens (now 48). I did weight watchers 2 years ago and got down to 209, but haven't been to my goal weight in 20+ years.
This morning I ate 4 pieces of Turkey bacon and egg whites with cheddar cheese. My first mini goal is to stay on Atkins with no cheating at all until Thanksgiving! Weight goal for Thanksgiving is 230. Hope it is doable! Have a great day everyone! http://www.3fatchicks.net/img/bar-bl...180/242.6/.png |
Hello Mom2twins! I am 55.... and Thanksgiving goal for you... I bet you meet it and BEAT IT! :)
|
Hi Sara,
I'm Sarah too - mom to 2 (not twins though, kudos to you!). I'm in my forties too, similar starting weight to you and only a few weeks ahead of you (I started Sept 16th). Happy to see you here! I think short-term weight goals are somewhat helpful (I like the focus the "lose 5 pound challenge" gives me - and I love your goal of staying cheat-free until Thanksgiving. That's a great behavioral goal. I've made it cheat-free for 6 weeks now! The 230 goal by Thanksgiving sounds do-able, but I'm always cautious with time-based weight goals, because while you can control your behavior (cheating, what you eat, exercise, etc) you can't always control the scales - and in my experience stalls are part of the process. Plus I tend to be a perfectionist and beat my self up if I don't make the goal - even if I'm only a pound or two away. |
Hi all,
Small loss overnight - 0.2 but I will take it. Quick question is there any other way to update the ticker other than recreating it every time you have a loss? http://www.3fatchicks.net/img/bar-bl...180/242.4/.png |
mom2twins, I update mine once a week, or every 3-4 pounds, and I start from scratch each time.
What kind of supplements does everyone take while on Atkins? I was doing IP and taking multi vitamin, omegas, cal/mag and potassium, plus a Vit D cause mine is low. |
Mom2twins & kcandponies - Click on User CP and go to 'Edit Signature' link... go to section inside of the poster's text block that shows the signature info... just edit your current weight there, Save, and the ticker will automatically reflect the change.

What I ate!
Today I ate Two scrambled eggs and some bacon for breakfast, lunch I had ham and cheese and mayo in romaine lettuce wraps, a drumstick for a snack, corned beef and cabbage for dinner, and low carb chocolate mousse. Yum!
|
For B-fast, an egg and coffee
For lunch I had diced chicken breast, onion, spinach, and a little tomato all mixed together like a stir-fry with cream cheese mixed in. It was sooo amazing and I haven't been hungry again all day! |
I ate some chicken salad with chicken breast, mayo and a little bit of onion. Not sure what dinner will be.
|
Good for you, lilturtle!
I'm sticking to the induction plan, but I'm very lazy when it comes to food, so mostly I eat pre-packaged smoked turkey or roast beef, and afternoons, I munch on organic baby spinach leaves right out of the box, without any dressing. Occasionally my husband makes a cheese omelet for me. I think tonight I'll break open a package of smoked rainbow trout that I splurged on. =grin= |
Fiona W rainbow trout sounds good. Other then canned tuna, seafood is too expensive here.
I ate chicken salad again today and will have beef sausage and cheese for dinner. |
I ate half a chef salad today I am not very good at eating veggies so this was a good change. I've been eating twice a day with no major hunger between meals. Is this the right way?
|
Lilturtle -whatever way works for you is the right way ;)
My favorite meal today was chicken sausage and brussel sprouts, the brussel sprouts were cooked in olive oil, cant stand them hard and underdone they just taste bitter that way so I make mine on the softer side ;) |
Hi everyone, new here. Today I had two eggs, cheese, two slices chicken bacon, then two T cream cheese with cocoa and two packets of Splenda, lunch was spinach, red pepper, and a turkey cutlet, snack was an atkins bar coded for induction, snack will be a cheese omelette, dinner will be a turkey cutlet and vegetables again.
|
breakfast was coffee with almond milk (1 carb 1 fiber for 0 net carbs yay!)
lunch was a couple of hamburger patties with a slice of cheese and 2 slices of tomato with mayo and mustard and approx 1 cup salad and ranch dressing dinner- i'm thinking some pulled chicken breast and egg salad with another cup of salad greens but I haven't decided yet |
Breakfast: 2 scrambled eggs with cheese
Snack: green pepper w/ ranch dressing lunch: grilled chicken & squash on salad w/ italian dressing snack: cheese + cucumber w/ italian dressing dinner: sausage, broccoli, salad with avocado |
Breakfast: 2 eggs cheddar cheese omelet with 2 Jimmy Dean sausage patties
Lunch: 4 slices of med rare Boarshead Roast Beast with garlic mayo (tbsp) and 1 slice of provolone rolled up in the 4 slices.. OH YUMMY Mayo!! Dinner: Left over roast white meat turkey heated up with regular mayo and melted cheddar cheese in a fry pan (new thing I tried and WOW.. thinking garlic mayo next time) Note: I take alot of vitamins and do take 3 fiber tablets as I am not much of a veggie eater... |
I've recently discovered Crackslaw and have been eating a lot of it. Made it 3 times in a week... I suspect the soy sauce is bringing a little bloating. And is there MSG in soy sauce? Probably, even though mine is organic. Will next try to find coconut aminos if that can be found in Paris.
Breakfast : bulletproof coffee Lunch : crackslaw Dinner : pot au feu (a kind of stew) |
Sarah - What is Crackslaw?
|
Crazyjojo... Watch out for the Atkins bars.. they really do stall alot of people! :) should only be used in emergencies :)
|
Ok, here's what I'm having today. Much better than yesterday. Just put into the fatsecret calculator I have more calories and just under 20 carbs. :)
I worked out yesterday so definitely need those calories as I'm going into induction! Breakfast: 2 Jimmy Dean pork sausage patties with cheese on top Snack: Bell Peppers cut up and dipped in italian dressing Lunch: Mixed salad greens with chicken, bacon, shredded cheese, tomato & blue cheese dressing Snack: Celery & Cheese Dinner: 2 Jimmy Dean pork sausage patties w/ avocado, tomato and blue cheese dressing. Any leftover will just be tomato and avocado dipped in blue cheese. Also going to grill some zucchini for the side. Going to resist having a Jello tonight. Hoping to get rid of that sweet tooth! Currently drinking tea instead of coffee to avoid having too much cream and splenda. |
Lulu, I was curious about the crackslaw so Googled it. Go to http://crackslaw.com/. The original version sounds good and I will be trying it soon.
|
breakfast: I had 2 eggs scrambled with some shredded steak with a sprinkle of cheese on top
Lunch: 3 hardboiled eggs turned into egg salad with some mayo and mustard with celery snack: pepporoni slices Dinner: not sure yet. probably shredded steak with guacamole and sour cream on top of some lettuce. |
Crackslaw is a mix of ground beef with cabbage and the spices - I've actually found myself really overeating it - I love that tangy Asian thing. I'm taking a break from it for a few days because I've proven to myself that I can't control it!
Lunch today was 2 eggs scrambled with bacon, broccoli and a bit of onion. Dinner will be pot au feu again. Nothing exciting, I'm trying to use food for fuel not fun this week |
Breakfast was 2 eggs with shredded steak again
lunch was a salad from subway with roast beef, ham, turkey and cheese on lettuce spinach and tomatos. dinner was a hamburger patty with 3 strips of bacon, a slice of cheese, and guacamole with a small salad |
Feelin the induction blues. Was feeling a little sick last night and had some broth. Today I was just tired but at least not feeling sick.
B: Scrambled eggs w/ cheese S: Peppers w/ greek vinaigrette L: Deli Ham, celery, gouda cheese S: Tomato and mozarella D: Sausage... if still hungry in an hour I'll have a salad. Too cold to think about it. And don't worry pnk! You'll be losing something soon. Hopefully something big! :) |
