not good at estimating carbs, either....just trying to keep things low....feeling the irritated, rebellious urge to cheat on this plan again tonight so I will just plan on cheating!....I have been 'dieting' since Nov11 (my new birthday) and started Atkins two wks ago tomorrow to speed up wt loss....Hasn't sped things up much....getting frustrated....
SeeMyFeet, I don't count calories. One thing that Atkins states is when doing Induction not to drink alcohol. Maybe that is why the weight loss isn't as fast as you want? And why do you think you feel irritated and rebellious? If you've not been carb free before, then that would be the cause. Carbs are an addiction, and sneaky ones at that--so when you cut down your carbs, your body rebels. stay strong and eventually you'll not want to cheat
Yea, I know it's cheating....I count calories and carbs, so I don't consider it a big cheat if I'm under in both categories. Ha..It's not like I ate an Apple (gasp!). I haven't cheated yet today, so we'll see...
I had planned on being in induction for only 2 weeks, but because I cheated, I'm continuing on for at least another week. We'll see how the wt loss curves look in the next few days.
I count calories and carbs, and I will admit I cheat with some whiskey once in awhile. Overall, whiskey doesn't stall me as it has no carbs, but it will stall me if I overdo it because of the calories in it.
B: 3 eggs with 15 g of habanero cheese on top and salsa
L: A salad with salsa, sour cream, habanero cheese, avocado, and roast beef
D: More roast beef but with mozza melted on top and some mustard and mayo on it, had sliced up cucumber on the side with golden italian dressing to dip it in.
S: A pepperoni stick, cheese stick, and tomato and cucumber with a little bit of ranch on top.
I also had a coffee and a few shots of whisky.
And I weigh and measure EVERYTHING that goes into my mouth.
