Well, I stayed at 172.5 for 2 days, then I went up to 173.5 and I've been at 174 since. 174 has been my lowest weight over the past few months, so I'm pretty sure it's the point where my water weight loss is over and it's now onto the fat. I think my body freaked out and re-adjusted from the initial low, low of 172.5.
I did end up going off plan a bit last night. I was starving all day- bad lunch planning - and had to be out in the evening so I planned to have a chicken burrito bowl (with some rice and beans, eek) According to their website it was about 44gs carb in that meal - yeesh - but the 42g protein would've helped the insulin spike. I don't feel like I've derailed because it was a planned decision and I was right back to normal today. But I guess it means my induction is no longer 'clean'. Oh well. I'm trying to think of the long term rather than doing a perfect by the book induction. I guess that means I have about 11 pounds of fat to lose by new years. Hmmm. That number is inspiring me to ensure week two of my induction is more perfect-like!

The way I ate today, you'd think the challenge was intended to GAIN 15 pounds by New Years.
Oh, well. Tomorrow's a new day.

Yes it is! As long as I don't say that to myself every day, I should be ok...

Today I'm cooking a turkey - its a bit of a tradition because we go to our nieces for Thanksgiving and I really love turkey and need leftovers after Thanksgiving. So it will be done today with no stuffing ...
I did pretty well sticking to my plan yesterday - nibbled on cheese, salami, olives, and peppers from the antipasta platter and avoided the high carb choices, had 2 cups of coffee to help - dinner was turkey, my fauxtatoes, brussel sprouts with bacon and my indulgence was a little (maybe 2 tbs if I measured it out) bit of gravy on the turkey. And I had one bite (the very tip of the piece) of pumpkin pie that hubster was eating - ok I was amazed that by not having sugar in months the pie was really really sweet - so I was totally content with my taste only.
I had a plan of what I was going to do going in - but I also had a plan B in case the temptation was too great...I gave myself permission to have some of whatever I really really really wanted - I have such a strong inner brat that I think giving her permission was the key - because just knowing I had a plan B made it easier for me to go with plan A.
One down now I need to work on my Christmas plan - and tightening up my day to day plan...

So I changed my tickers to show my little gain ... If it stays up for 2 days I change it. One thing I know is I have been really lax on lately is my water - I know how important water is for me in weight loss so today I start back with my habit of every time I go to the bathroom I am sure to drink a full glass right away. That seems to be the easiest method for me - otherwise I will sip my way thru just a few glasses a day. And I had been having a few diet cokes a day - so back to seltzer only for awhile.
Anyone else have any tips for getting back into the swing of different things we may have let slip lately?

rho, thank you for the reminder about the water. I'm lax with that, too.
We just got home from a family gathering at Babe's Chicken. I had smoked chicken, a little tossed salad and less than 1/2 cup green beans. I can't tell you what all I passed up. I was talking a few minutes ago on another board about how I'm really good or really bad with virtually no in-between. That's something I need to work on.

Oh Babes Chicken sounds good.
One of the things I am also working on in my life is losing that "all good or all bad" - I find it is in all parts of my life - if I can't do it perfectly I've failed and why bother at all. As far as this goes I will do it one day, one meal or one hour at a time if necessary. Baby steps - I've baby stepped my way done almost 42 lbs I can baby step myself the rest of the way too.. I only need to do it 2 more times

Rho, thank you for sharing. Congratulations on being down 42 pounds. You're right about baby steps--also one step at a time.
We ate lunch at a local restaurant today. I did well. We prob won't be eating out again for a few days. That helps.

I need to remember about the baby steps. The rice I had last week ended up with me eating an entire tub of icecream over the weekend. Really, really unnecessary. By last night I was climbing the walls with cravings, nothing would fill me up. Moving on - and very glad to be back to low carb.
I'm going back to my little tub of hummus with 2 hard boiled eggs for breakfast. I was trying to ditch those 11g of carb, but I enjoy that breakfast and it sets me up for the day. I don't think I handle super low carb well, I feel queasy too much of the time. Though carb binges don't make me feel great either! Those 11g plus veges at lunch and dinner, should keep me pretty low. The damage so far hasn't been too much, I was at 174.4 this morning.
