You are going to do great! The worst of the holidays are done and it will be easier now. And with the whole of winter and spring you will make a big difference.
Chop meat will be plain old hamburgers tonight - have a friend coming over for knitting help on a baby sweater so it will be a quick dinner after.

Hi all! I'm still on holiday and still not eating great. By which I mean I cannot stop eating nectarines, and then when my family eat rice, or rice noodles etc with meals, I have a big portion along with them. It's not terrible, but 'm not getting my protein and my carbs are way, way too high for me, even if it is pretty healthy food. It's interesting really, since I'm gaining weight eating fruit, which most people would think was healthy. Just not in such quantities! In January I'm going to give up dairy for a month, having yoghurt to eat has really been messing me up, I eat too much of it and then I crave other things. Again, interesting to really see how it effects me after ages not eating it (my mother makes plain yoghurt and we've always had as much as we wanted. I love it too much).

Have you tried having it when you aren't eating the nectarines and rice etc homemade yoghurt is only 4 carbs per cup as I remember - made from whole milk but you can make it from half and half or cream I think too which would be super creamy. Could it be the other stuff making you crave instead of that? Worth googling to be sure if you really love it. I used to make it and put a spoon of ground flax in it and occasionally a squirt of DaVinci syrup ... May have to make some again...
But try a month of induction to Get back in the swing of things before you try adding it in. But I wouldn't add store bought just homemade if it were me.

Unfortunately dairy seems to make me crave any time :-( The nectarine etc eating has been shocking, but before I came down here and before the week of pre-holiday christmas party madness at work, I'd already found I had trouble stopping seconds (thirds, etc) when I ate store bought greek yoghurt (a good one with no additives). I don't know, maybe it's associations? I always ate a tonne of yoghurt and milk growing up (until about a decade ago I was happy to live entirely on wheat based foods and dairy!)
Part of it is also that I'm mildly lactose intolerant. Yoghurt isn't super stomach-upsetting, but I don't feel great when I eat it.
I will do a good clean induction, and I'll keep in cream cheese for a while after as those little cheesecake muffins are great even if I want to eat too many of them, the effort involved in making them seems to keep me somewhat in line! I think my expectations were too high for this holiday. I came down here after a week of eating really badly and expected myself to go back to induction-like eating in a house with people who were making and eating much starchier foods than I'm used to. I have enough trouble getting myself to behave when it's just me at home to cook for! Ah well, live and learn and I haven't gained more than i started the month at, at least...
How is the new car going?

Shoot - maybe by giving it up for awhile you will be able to go back to having some later in small portion size. I think planning on a few weeks or a month on induction will help you get back into the swing of things -
I'm thinking about setting up a menu of induction things for the week that hubs will be away this month - --- it will be a good week not having to make carby stuff to go with his meals or watch him have sandwiches and treats ... I can really concentrate on me.
The car is good - have to check why I get a check pressure light but it will have to wait till we are both feeling better - we have that cold crud that is going around - it starts like a cold but turns into the worst cold you've ever had. I made chicken soup yesterday so that is our new years dinner ...
Some brilliant person needs to make up an app that you can enter ingredients as you make a recipe and tell it how many people it will serve and it will pop out the carbs and nutritional info - WW has one we need one too! Wish CarbsControl site would put one on their page even if it wasn't part of the app .. and get their app to synce between your devices -
Btw I was 2 lbs off the challenge - close but I made 50 so still YAY

Congratulations on your challenge result, Rho!!!!!!!!!! That's awesome.
I got home day before yesterday and did a big shop of good things to eat, so I think I'm getting there. I bought some greek yoghurt as it was on special, but I ate too much of it so that's it, no more until I've gotten a better grip on the weight loss. But I also bought little portion sized cream cheeses and those make a good after dinner snack without making me crave anything. Not quite as yummy as the cheese cake muffins, but much easier to prepare!
I was down 2 pounds this morning, but that was off an unanticipated high of 183 - it seems my mother's scales were more generous than mine (though exactly the same model) or else I went up quite a bit on my last day on holiday. I'm thinking it's more likely the scales... oh well!
