Default OWL Phase - low carb products?

As I'm reading the book, there's a section that mentions that we can eat low carb products such as tortillas & bagels... but the net carb is pretty low!!

I'd like to know what kind of products you have found out there that are OK by Atkins standards.

I looked at my WW bagels...and in no way do they make the cut, even with just half a bagel. The hunt is on...

I personally would be very cautious of things like tortillas & bagels (or any so-called "low carb products") on Atkins. While a small amount of whole grains are permitted on the last rung of the OWL carb ladder....trial & error is the key. Some can add them and not experience any issues while others just decide to steer clear of these items. I fall into that category. That being said, you may want to look at a site like Netrition, they carry a large selection of "low carb products".
Have you tried making revolution rolls? Dr. Atkins himself approved these in the books he himself wrote and they're Induction friendly

Thanks Jerseygyrl - The rolls could solve a burger bun problem I've been having. Ever since a trip to New Mexico last winter, I've been trying to perfect a Green Chili Cheeseburger but now without the bun. I'll try this recipe tomorrow.

I might have to give making those rolls a go although boyfriend who has done Atkins a few times before thinks Splenda is a bit dubious.

My favourite product is the Atkins shakes. They are great to have on hand if I don't feel like having a meal.

Roobear, I have the same hesitation about splenda. Besides, burger buns don't need to be sweet. I will try the recipe as-is today and then see about modifying it into garlic/rosemary or something like that. I'll report back!

Still trying to find a muffin tops pan though. If not successful finding it today then maybe parchment sheets with circles drawn will work. I've seen those pans around but now that I want one...
