Default Got the book to read but confused

I decided to read up on Atkins and i got the book at the library, but im confused by induction. Im not planning on switching from my current diet just yet, but im starting to lean that way.
Anyway, I have the list of foods you can have and im confused. I dont eat meat except chicken, so i can have how much chicken a day? I kind of get the veggie thing- the 12-15 net carbs come from them right? Then the rest comes from the chicken or what?

ETA:
I think i figured out how to find net carbs- take total carbs minus fiber=net right? So today i had sweet chicken teriyaki from subway and i calculated it to be 60g total-3g fiber=57g net carbs. Right? I somehow thought too hard about this step when reading the book. **note, I have not started the Atkins diet yet, i was using this as an example to try and understand.

I have the 2002 version of the book and if memory serves me correctly, it says that you should have 4-6 oz of protein per meal. Is chicken your only source of protein? Lots of foods have protein (eggs, cheese, nuts), so be sure to include those as well.

Hope this helps.

the rest of the carbs come from lots of other sources: such as supplements that you take, dairy foods, (even cheese has some) etc.
You are right in calculating net carbs, its generally not complicated.
good luck as you make the switch.

I read Atkins for Life (2003) and Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution (92/99/2002 according to copyright)

they both explained things pretty well, but i think ill wait on trying the diet.
