Default Wine and alchohol?

I read in a low carb book that back in the 1800 hundreds it was this man who was on a low carb diet and he included wine every night for dinner. I want to know is this acceptable but making sure there is no sugar and carb content is low? and how about alchohol?

Speaking from personal experience, alcohol WILL STALL your weight loss on induction. If your doing the other phases of atkins, alcohol in moderation is fine, but DEFINITELY not on induction!

"In general, white wine only has 0.9g of carbs per 4oz serving. Red wine has about 2.0g of carbs per 4oz serving."

Make sure you stay away from sweet white wines though - those have more. The "dry" whites like sauvignon blanc have less.
