  • Hello everyone as you know i have been struggling to lose just a pound , I have found my problem every morning I take vitamin E and Vitamin C, my vitamin C has been my problem Each tablet has 5 carbs, OMG usually I take 2 however some morning I will take 4 (2000 mg) needless to say i am giving up my vitamin c for now till i find a low carb brand anyway.
Hopefully I will see results next week.
  • What brand of tablet is it? That seems high because I eat vitamin chews everyday and that's only 3 grams of carbs each but I only eat one per day. Most pills have less than 1 gram of carbs per pill so I'm surprised it's so high.
  • Ghost girl, I love your new picture! Is that your German Shepherd? Beautiful baby. I have a six-year-old female GS I call "Puddin' the Giant German Shepherd." She's my best buddy and my baby.
  • I have a 10 month old male GS . He "should" be called Big Boy but he's a Marley instead

Also Ghost girl, the Vitamin C thing is good to know. I have taken 2 a day in the past.
  • German Shepherds make the best companions ever. Google up your local or regional German Shepherd Rescue organization today; adopt. There's a sweet German Shepherd who's been waiting on you all of his life...

  • Ghost Girl, that sucks! I haven't had the chewable ones in a bit because I was worried about the carb content. Thanks for the warning!
  • German Shepherds are the best, Yep thats my Big Boy Ammo he is 7 years old, and he is like one of our children.

The Vitamin C was such a shocker each 500 mg chewable is 5 carbs, they are a store brand. I have been doubling my carbs each day.
  • Aren't you glad to find the culprit?

It's always something we wouldn't think of, hehe.
  • Ammo's gorgeous. I love the little ghosties.
  • I had to stop my c&d supplement, I found it was full of carbs too. I take the d in drop form now, and haven't been taking any c now. I can't have citrus, that is if I have carbs, so maybe I should be looking for a c supplement now.
Its hard to get a combo with no sugar and starch and no citric acid. let me know if you find something.
  • Yes so glad I found the culprit. I hope I see great results next week.
Supplements should not be carb loaded.

Sandy thank you Ammo is our pride and joy, I know you can relate to that.
My husband was putting up the ghost and Ammo decided he wanted to play with them.
  • I don't have a dog, but I have a cat that I absolutely love. She was my 18th birthday present and I couldn't ask for anything better. She sleeps on my bed with me and waits outside the bathroom door whenever I go to use it or take a shower. If I go into the garage at night to get some water she waits outside the door and meows sometimes, lol. It's amazing how much you can love your pets.

I'm glad you found the culprit and now maybe you'll be seeing more weight loss good luck!
  • Linsy, I have a cat too! He's black and fluffy, he's a maine coon so he's huge! He has an extra toe and he acts more like a dog. He's like my fiance and I's practice child haha.
  • Linsy, will you share your mom's vegetable soup recipe? I love soup, but I can't figure out what induction-friendly veggies to put it in it???
  • I just went to go ask her. She made it up herself so she just plays it by ear and doesn't measure anything so unfortunately I can't get any measurements for you.

She browns stew meat, then puts it in a pot with zucchini, celery, white onion, fresh green beans, and squash. She pours beef broth and maybe some water over that and seasons it with salt, pepper, garlic, and a little bit of stew mix (she said it's only like 2 carbs for the whole packet, I haven't looked at it but I think it's what gives the soup a really thick stew-like texture and flavor. You might want to check out some stew mixes at the store and see if any of them are acceptable. I'm not sure how much of it she uses.) She brings it to a boil and then turns it down and lets it simmer on the stove for a couple of hours. The zucchini and squash cook down until it's pretty much nonexistent, but it gives the whole thing a good flavor. Hopefully you can use this recipe as a base to make your own soup or try this one out--I'm sure you'll love it! I don't even miss the carrots or potatoes or anything.
