Default What's for Breakfast?

I very much enjoy breakfast and thought it would be nice to see what others enjoy to break the fast. It's nice to have some inspiration to try something new now and then.

Today:

Bacon and braised eggs with a pinch of black pepper

Sending you all best wishes for a lovely day.

I love breakfast food, but I have a hard time eating in the morning. This morning I just had 2 slices of cheese.

I have found that my success is almost 100% related to eating breakfast. Often an egg, ham and melted cheese is my breakfast, lots of protein to carry me through the day.

I will also do a fritatta with bacon, ham or sausage, cheese, veggies ... sometimes some chopped chillies.

I have also been known to have supper left overs for breakfast ...... chicken salad with celery sticks, etc.

I usually have 2 eggs with 2 pieces of breakfast meat (bacon or sausage). I'm a little bit worried about the bacon/sausage because it has sugar in it, and the links I had today have 2 carbs for 3 links. I only ate 2. Hopefully it's okay.

I LOVE sleeping in but I have to force myself to get up and eat breakfast by 10 because I know it's something I can't skip.

I was kinda avoiding bacon because it is processed and heavy with nitrates. Do most people eat low-sodium bacon or unprocessed bacon?

Natural bacon is available here, but it's expensive and will spoil quickly. I gave myself an awesome case of mini-food poisoning (only lasted about 12 hours) with natural bacon. Check with a butcher shop; I'll bet they'll have it too.

I'm not sure about the nitrates, but have you tried Turkey bacon?
