Default I can't stay out of the bathroom!

I hear everyone talking about constipation with this diet. I am having some major diarrhea. I'm sorry if this is TMI, but I'm not sure what to do. For dinner tonight, I had spring mix salad with oil and vinegar and feta cheese. Then I made a big plate of steamed broccoli and sprinkled it with cheddar cheese and melted it. I also had a turkey burger.

About a half hour later, I ran in the bathroom and let loose. It was watery and my stomach was making all these weird noises. I have been to the bathroom 3 times in the past 1 1/2 hours.

This is the second time it happened since I started Atkins. The first time I just thought it was something I ate. I do not eat sugar alcohols or any artificial sweetners except for a diet soda now and then. I have to go for a long drive to pick someome up from the airport this week and I don't want to have to stop at every rest stop I see.

Wait, make that 4 times in the past 1 1/2 hours. Couldn't even get done typing this and had to RUN back.

That happened to me on my second day of atkins - i put it down to the sudden change in diet and it did clear up by the next day. However, it did (to a much lesser extent) happen again over the weekend lasting 3 days - all better now thank god! I haven't managed to figure out what caused mine exactly but I have decided to stick purely to induction foods, make sure i get plenty of veg and water (and not drink vodka hehe). Our bodies are going through a big change, if it was to keep up for a long time I would start to be worried.

I have the same problem.. My Doc told me it is caused by excess bile.. She is sure it will clear up when my body gets used to the change.. My gallbladder has been on the fritz for the last year or so, not to the point of surgery , but that is what cause mine!!!

are you eating a lot more dairy than you used to? this can also happen with lactose intolerance. too loose or to constipated, either is a problem when it affects your life so much. hope it gets better or you find the cause.
