New to Atkins
Hi there! I have been lurking here, just reading some of the success stories and learning from each of you before and after I started this lifestyles change. I have been on it, religiously for two weeks. I have lost roughly around 8 pounds and couldn't be happier. I am hoping to find support with this group, because I am a taboo case. I can never talk about weight loss around my friends, because I only have (had) about 25 pounds to lose. Anytime I say anything, they bark at me that I don't need to lose, yada, yada. Well, I have an unusual circumstance that they don't. I am on prednisone everyday and will be on it for the rest of my life. It is like fighting an uphill battle and for 2 years now, i have watched my weight go up..up. No fun when there is not a thing you can do about it...until now! My DH (who needs to lose about 80, watched me for a week and how now joined me. After being on the diet for about 5 days, he had already dropped 10 pounds. I am so proud of him! So, needless to say...I am thrilled with this lifestyle change and will continue it for many years to come.
