What a nasty shock! I was looking to see if the recipe for 3FC on a Diet's recipe for Bacon Cheeseburger Salad was on line. I googled: Bacon Cheeseburger Salad 3 Fat Chicks recipe -and got an alert that explicit porn was being blocked...and all these awful google results for fat girl porn. What!!!!?????

And I'm teaching English for a living...maybe I don't have to go back to school in a couple of weeks...new career?

We were very naive when we came up with our name :o Our site is blocked from various schools, etc, due to the term fat chicks :dizzy:

I was on 3FC during my lunch break at work. I was then done with 3FC for the time and went to look at the history for the site I was previously visiting. One of my co-workers walked by my desk, saw the link, and said, "Whoa whoa scroll up! FAT CHICKS? Who was checking out FAT CHICKS? :D Is the boss into that?!"

I quickly explained to him that it was a health/fitness/weight loss web site and then he looked bored. ;)

I don't know of any other meaning to fanny other than a cute name for one's butt. I'm from the Carolina coast; I love the beach. And, in the summer, I often have a "sandy fanny." I don't mean to offend anyone.

And, thanks for the encouragement. I look forward to being regular "porn worthy..." - which is really a funny thought. I'm thinking, though, a specialty area may be a better gig.

broadabroad, you'll appreciate this. I was working with one of my students and the physical therapist came in; she's from the UK. She started to hug the kid, and I told her to wait because she was "boogery" (meaning, she had some gross stuff coming out of her nose). The look of shock on her face was priceless when I realized what she thought I'd said. I quickly explained that I didn't mean the "b" word she was thinking of, and told her what a booger was in the US.

I was trying to get my coworker to join 3fatchicks.com, but it's blocked on her computer.

It's funny the different meanings of the word fanny were brought up. I remember seeing an episode of Sabrina the teenage witch when I was younger. In it Sabrina was walking around singing a song that went something like "Shake your fanny, funky song, funky song..". I was really surprised to see that type of lyrics in an american show for teenagers. :D

You caught my attention with this thread title! lol BTW, where I'm from fanny is not referring to the butt either...luckily I know both interpretations...lol.

(in case you're curious, in the UK 'fanny' is a slang term for, ah, girly parts. It's a little less crude than p*ssy, but considerably more crude than 'butt'. Um. Sorry - apparently I have the sense of humour of a twelve year old boy, but paired up with your tagline of 'Less Juicy"...well, there's a lot of giggling going on right here. Sorry! Oh, man - and there was some movie I once caught about US teenagers in, er, probably the 50s? And there's a scene where the cool kids have paired up and are dancing, and this shy girl and this shy guy are still sitting at the table and they have this whole stilted conversation about dancing. I nearly choked TO DEATH laughing at dialogue that ran something like this:

"So, do you shag?"

Lol, this is a hilarious thread, I have an British friend in my," ladies night out group", the only word we've had to interpret so far has been when discussing recipes, she says tin instead of can. I'll keep these in mind when I'm with her. :)

I'm from the U.K originally but, now live in the U.S and when I first moved here and heard people say the word "fanny" it had be rolling laughing, especially as they sell 'fanny packs'! :o And the 'Sandyfanny' is a great one, especially with the whole juicy part......I have to show my boyfriend this thread!

He said "WOW" and started giggling- he's from the U.S btw. I've schooled him in our lingo.
