Yes, I agree its important to bring snacks to eat while at school all day. But thanks for pointing out what the noise factor might be. I invite my University students to bring things to eat or drink into class because I know they often concentrate better when they are eating as well!!!! And it often makes them feel more at ease and that we are having a proper discussion in the world!

I spend every day doing research these days (I am on sabbbatical until January 2008 -- and boy are THEY gonna be shocked when they see my svelte self-- I hope), and I bring a bag with a few slivers of cheese in it, an egg, ad a large bottle of water. I keep it in my locker and take a swig every hour or so. For lunch itself I bring a mayonaissy salad -- yum --- chicken or tuna....
