View Full Version : My First Mini-Goal

I'm new here today, and toward that end, I'm posting my first mini-goal!

I am shooting for a 10 lb loss, and 100 miles on the stationary bike at the gym by my dd's birthday, which is also Valentine's Day!

How am I going to do this?
WW. Points. Write 'em down, good, bad or ugly!
Gym. Go every week day.
Horses. Work them 2x a week.
Dogs. Walk them at least every other day (they need it too!).
Shopping for Healthy Foods. Make the time to plan and prepare.

Glad to join you all!

Good luck!!! Don't forget to stop by 3fc for your daily dose of encouragement, if not for the people here I would have lost interest months ago.

Thanks!...as a newbie, I have to ask:

What's the best way to wade through the MANY posts that happen here every day? I don't want to miss anything, but I don't want to be overwhelmed either! LOL

I definitely need the support! (and I'm willing to be supportive too...)

Welcome, LCharvon!! I think it's so great that you've set a definite goal and you've planned exactly how you're going to meet it. That way you're sure to succeed!

I know all the posts are overwhelming. I figured out in the beginning which forums I was interested in, and I just checked those. I don't read every post in those forums, because I don't have time, but there are a few threads I always participate in. You'll figure out what works for you. This forum is great -- the people here are very supportive. The Exercise forum is good too -- I like posting my workouts in the Exercise Accountability thread. And you should definitely visit the WW forum -- I hang out in the WW at Home section because I do WW but I don't go to meetings. My favorite threads are the ones where we weigh in or post accountability-type things, but I love checking out support threads as well. Sometimes I just browse!
