Question Drop a Dress Size by Christmas Challenge Weigh In Thread No. 6

Woo HOOOOO!!!!!!

Only 18 days until Christmas

Only one pound gone this week but it was enough that I now fit comfortably in Next size 14 regular jeans (my benchmark for going down a dress size). So I tried on my Christmas clothes - and I also fit in to the Monsoon size 14 trousers and skirt I bought to wear over Christmas but the tops are still just a little tight across the shoulders and top of my back.

I've got my fingers crossed that if I manage to lose a couple of pounds over the next week or two week they might fit better.

How's everyone else doing?????

Great job Sarah..

Breaking news in Boston I have stayed the same again!!!!

I am really getting confused, I'm not really complaining because I'm pretty much ok with maintaining through the holidays but I exercise hard about 2 hours a day. Running, spinning, lifting, sweating, and I probably eat 1500-1800 calories. My weekends can be bad but overall I don't think they are that awful. I exercise on the weekends too, I rarely take a day off of exercising pretty hard ever.

Oh well....I guess I'll start keeping track of everything in fitday again to see where I can cut some calories, I don't think there is much else I can do, if I ever hit 150 you guys are going to hear me screaming over there

RSG - I am no expert on exercise at all but I used to eat an average of 1800 cals a day and walk for 2-3 hours a day, swim a mile 3 times a week, do aerobic classes, do HIIT exercise on the exercise bike and lift weights - and my weight loss completely stalled. Then I cut back on calories to 1500 on weekdays and 1800 at weekends - and also cut back exercise to just briskly walking the dogs for 1.5 to 2 hours a day - and my weight loss started again. I don't know why - it doesn't make sense.

Well done Sarah, Lou anad RSG

Sarah, do you realise you have lost 80 pounds now WAHOOOOOOOO for you.

I have gained but I don't think it's real, well one pound could be, as that's what it showed yesterday and the other gained today, but that's cos we had chinky last night for dinner, as we had no water..the well was dry Due to a big leak earlier in the day... and I feel bloated, and urk....

I was just telling Cg though we hwhe had our weekly phone chat, that my 16's are very comfy and I can fel that they are looser around the waist and bum, so I do feel as if I'm losing....and curves weigh and measure next week will show if any inches are gone ...:fingerscrossed:

Good Lord, Sly is on the telly and he looks like he just went three rounds with Rocky, not playing him....and he sounds like he has cotton stuffed in his cheeks like the God FAther... what happened?

I lost 2lbs this week, happy at that thought I might have gained.

80lbs Sarah congrats.

Chris the inches are going that's a good thing.

18 days to Christmas we can do this.

The tickers won't show half pounds??

Well done on those inches, Chris.

CG - Well done on that 2lbs! Yes, we can do this!

80lb ... so I did! I try not to think too much about it any more... just take one day at a time. Its usually about this stage that my diets all go wrong.

The other day I 'for fun' tried to add up ALL the weight I've lost over the last 30 years - I never did finish adding it all up - I got to more than 50 stones (700 pounds) and gave up counting. I couldn't even remember all the different diets I've been on. Oh please, PLEASE let me have learned my lesson this time.

I saw Sly on the TV recently - DH said he looked like he'd partially melted under a sun lamp.
