Default Elliptical workout!

Curious......do you use an elliptical to work out? I do, when it's too nasty outside to walk a couple miles. DH came home from working out after work today (he has onsight gym facilities) and said some of the gals were walking on the elllipticals backwards. Standing frontwards, but walking backwards, for those of you with a confused look on your faces like I was! Anyway, I told him I was going to give it a try. WHEW!! I usually do 30 minutes the traditional way, so I tried 20 minutes walking forward, 10 minutes rotating backwards. What a workout! I can feel it all the way up and down the fronts of my thighs! I don't think I could have managed another 30 seconds going backwards!

I work out at home or walk most of the time but when I do go to the gym I never miss the Elliptical! Wish I could afford one in my house. I like to a do a combination program that they have on the machine where you do a certain amount of minutes forwards and then a certain amount backwards. Good workout!
