Preworkout: TJ's Soy Protein Shake ( I only do this on days that I work out in lieu of moving up a food plan. Sometimes I work out 5 days a week and sometimes I hit the snooze button!!!, Anyway I don't want to eat "extra" food that I didn't "earn". I am not recommending that anyone alter the LAWL program because it does work. This slight modification just works for me)

Sunday Day 4 of 21 day boost

I just kind of snacked all day!
B: lite, apple, coffee, creamer, splenda (L,F,C)
S: orange, 1 serving wasabi peas (not OP but I'm counting as a starch and drinking extra water due to the sodium content)(F,S)
Didn't really have lunch, I just ate all day. Lesson learned--I need to plan ahead and have some structure with meals and not just snack.
S: Lite, apple, 1 cup ff milk (L,F,D)
D: 6 oz chicken, 12 baby carrots cooked, 6 grape tomatoes (P,3V)
S: more wasabi peas (okay--I know I should NOT have eaten them! They are gone now and I'm not buying more. I just happened to see them at a health food store when I was looking for those shirataki noodles and I bought the smallest bag they had because DD wanted them.), 1 Tbsp sunflower seeds (S,Fa)

Here's the plan:
B: yogurt, apple, coffee, splenda, creamer (D,F,C)
S: lite, apple (L,F)

S: lite (L)
D: not sure yet (P, 3V)
I might possibly cut my lites in half to make them last longer throughout the day, these shakes better be good because I already feel like I'm starving just thinking that I'm going to drink my food.

Candice - First, your updated avatar looks great! You can see a big difference in your face!

Second, glad to see you on this thread.

Third, are rice thins the same as rice crackers? I've seen rice crackers but never looked at the calories, etc. How many calories for 12? Are they like a cracker or a chip?

Candiflip
12-04-2006, 04:13 PM
Thank you! :D

I'm not sure if you can get them in the US. They are called Rice Thins. They are by Mr. Christie here in Canada. I just looked on the US site and don't see them anywhere :(
http://www.kraftcanada.com/en/ProductsPromotions/SensibleSolution/SensibleSolutionsCookiesCrackers.htm

They are soo good! I love to eat them with tuna for lunch.
One of the ladies at the center told me about them one day.

for one servings 12 crackers:
90 calories
1 g fat
0 sat fat
0 cholesterol
80mg sodium
17 carbs
0 fibre
0 sugars
2 proteins

oh sorry forgot to answer your questions LOL
I don't really know what a rice cracker, are those those really puffy ones?
if so no. These are really thin and crispy. Then are a thicker then a chip but thiner then a cracker. They are baked like a cracker.

joni or anyone on the purple plan, a quick question for you. In regards to the protein burgers. (since we're on the same plan and all) I've been counting those boca chicken patties as 1P, is that correct? (reason being, 1 patty has 160 calories) That's what is says in my book. I just wanted to know because I saw that you put in 1P for 2 protein burgers.

bizlawchik
12-07-2006, 02:06 PM
The "vegetarian burger" is 2 patties for 1P. And then it says "vegetarian chicken nuggets, plain - 6 nuggets" is 1P. I know the 6 nuggets have 190 calories in them and most veggie burgers are around 100 calories, give or take 20 or so. So I think the veggie chicken patty is 1P, but maybe you could switch to nuggets to get more in your serving. Just a thought.

winkie03
12-07-2006, 02:26 PM
Not a bad thought Cassi. I might go and look for those nuggets tonight, just to incorporate something different.

tigerpawswhit
12-07-2006, 02:36 PM
Do the vegetarian chicken nuggets and chicken patties you all are talking about have breading? I saw some in the grocery, but I wasn't sure about them.

bizlawchik
12-07-2006, 02:50 PM
I use the ones with breading. I think it was Holly who said she doesn't. But if 2 veggie burgers = 200 calories and 6 breaded chicken nuggets = 190, I'm in for the breaded. Also in the purple book the Quorn naked cutlets she mentioned count as 2 for 1P, so it's probably 1 for 1P on gold.

winkie03
12-07-2006, 02:54 PM
I'm eating the ones that are breaded. It's actually the Boca brand Spicy Chicken patties.

Candiflip
12-07-2006, 03:20 PM
Are those vegi burgers and vegi chicken nuggets good? I have never had anything like that. What do they taste like?

Joni135
12-07-2006, 04:39 PM
Cassi - what brand of nuggest and veggie burgers do you eat? I haven't ventured away from the Morningstar grillers.

Also, fixed my fruit - thanks for catching. I was so specific to help out the gal looking for the Gold Plan, which sort of turned into an ugly thread, so I'm not going to play on that one anymore!!

I wanna sit on Santa's lap!!! wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I have a very long list to give him.

bizlawchik
12-07-2006, 05:36 PM
Joni - I use the Morningstar nuggets as that is the only brand in my Publix. I switch my veggie burgers, though, depending on what's on sale. Right now I've been on a Gardenburger original kick. It has grains and cheese in it and is really filling and yummy.

Joni135
12-07-2006, 06:00 PM

tigerpawswhit
12-07-2006, 07:33 PM
I'm on purple too, but no where in my book does it say anything about veggie burgers, except in the "vegetarian proteins" where it says you can have 2 veggie burgers and 2 veggie hot dogs as 1 p. Am I looking in the wrong place??

bizlawchik
12-07-2006, 10:23 PM
That's the right place. It says two veggie burgers for 1P. You can eat vegetarian proteins even if you aren't solely a vegetarian. I've actually come to prefer those over real burgers, and if I didn't have the family, I would probably be a vegetarian anyway.

Santa himself was great. I hope he is here for years to come. DS was not thrilled with Santa, so we all had to get in the picture. Picture was OK at best. We were all in such a hurry that I think it looks like the passport pictures the Griswolds took in European Vacation.

Can you guys help me out? My fiance' wants to do either the TO or the Fast Forward (those are the two that are different, right?) Anyway, I saw that someone had posted what was allowed on those two programs, but I can't remember where I saw it. Was it in here and I am just not seeing it?
Thanks!
Lara

Fast Foward is the inital phase and TO can be done every two weeks to boost weight loss. The main difference is the FF is an unlimited amount of proteins and on TO you can only have 7 oz. (possibly it depends on what plan you are on) also during TO you have your two lites and on FF you do not. I'm not sure if there's more but I know those are two main differences.

bizlawchik
12-18-2006, 10:55 AM
Lara - DH always does the FF when he "joins me in TO". Did you get a sheet from your COD when you joined? It's the plan you did for the first two days. If you don't have it, PM me. Also, for the juice, DH doesn't like the Knudsen's or the COD juice. I get him the Celebrity Juice Diet since they have a berry flavor. Not as cheap as the Knudsen's/Benefiber mix that I make, but it gets him through.

I just have a weird question, how do you move your counter when you lose weight? lol

bizlawchik
12-18-2006, 01:52 PM
I think on the 3FC tickers you can just edit, but I use the tickerfactory.com and just get a new one each time. I like it because it has tenths of a pound, and when you weigh in three times a week, that's what you're counting a lot of times.

Joni135
12-18-2006, 02:16 PM
To change your ticker:
(1) Go to User CP
(2) Edit Signature
(3) Scroll down to the "edit signature" block and you will see test showing the details of your ticker picture and at the end you will see the numbers
start weight/goal weight/current weight.
(4) Adjust accordingly
(5) Make sure you click SAVE SIGNATURE

WTG Barb......I don't yet post on this thread, but I saw your name here this a.m., and you are doing great!!!! You should be proud of yourself.,,,,,you planned AND you posted AND now you can have your POP FF day!!! You are on the road to goal.............. :) You can also add a touch of lemon water the next two days if you like. It's not too bad, really, once you get used to it. I am actually starting to like it. I, of course, add a bit of splenda.........I am not quite hard core yet.....but the amount of splenda I am using is getting to be less and less. Pretty soon, I"ll beable to drink with the big girls.........LOL!

Nikki - Your carb cravers comes with milk, so you still get another 1/2 dairy. I never thought of splitting up a carb cravers. I didn't think we could do that. May have to ask COD about that idea. Have you made the chicken loaf before? Let us know how it is.

truelies
12-19-2006, 11:56 AM
You can split up carb carvers and count it as half a protein, I believe it says so in the book? I could be wrong though or maybe that is only for the pizza. I just hate the idea of using a whole protein for breakfast.

I never realized that the milk was included, thank you!

I used do the same thing after a disappointing weigh in :( I finally fessed up about it to my COD and she explained maybe a weight gain could be due to being bloated or maybe beef from the day before that the body just has not broken down yet. If you have another bad weigh in, don't worry just make sure to drink and pee alot (sorry but it helps lol) and by your next weigh in it should be down again.

Look on the bright side, all you went off with is with the cheese. (I'm not sure if the restaurant books are different for each plan or not)
