Hey I manage to find my way here. I am doing ok. Been busy with the funeral and all. Today of course I had a hundred errands to run and the weekend is filled with bowling...tonight and Sunday night DH and I bowl. Saturday morning is Youth bowling. In the afternoon we are making up for what we missed this week due to the funeral. And Sunday afternoon is the youth bowling tournament. I am looking for a day off.

I have decided to start attending meetings again. Rumor has it there is a change in the program that will be announced 12/10. So I figure I will start attending meetings and see what the new program has to offer. So Monday I will be going to the WW center. I know this week hasn't been good one. It has been stressful but I really haven't done any emotional eating. I only went over points one day (but I hadn't used my WPA at all so I was fine). I do weigh myself every morning and I have maintained at 260. I want to be out of the 260s so bad. I have a couple of days left before the "official" WI Sunday. And then I will have the WI on Monday at the meeting.

I was planning to go to the meetings after the first of the year with my best friend. She wants to start the program but doesn't want to start out on the wrong foot with it being holiday time. Even though I am doing well without the meetings, I have to wonder what I would do with them. Not to mention I want the new information. I can only hope that with WW changing their program it is for the better. And I want the best.

Doing great today with all the extra stressors of the ice winter storm we got today. No power until after 7:30 p.m. tonight but I'm so thankful for Consumers Energy repair guys.

Gotta go over in a few and do my tracker over at the WW site - I really like that. I wish we had the Monthly pass option where you can get etools and your monthly meeting for $40

Right now I am enjoying a little down time. And I do mean little little. It is a busy weekend with bowling. I managed to get my butt back on the treadmill. I haven't done much walking this week with the funeral and all. Seems like everytime I get a good routine going on the treadmill something comes up and I loss all the ground I gained.

Hey I am new to WW program. I am a nanny and my boss is the stick figure trying to lose a whole ten pounds.... we decided to try core. I realize I will be missing my sweets, but in a sense thats the good thing considering sweets are the reason i am severly plump. So as of Monday the beginning of DEC.... I am on the Core program. I had tried flex before and I couldnt portion correctly and fell off wagon many many times. i am hoping to get on track and does anyone out there know what to expect in weight losses doing the core and NOT falling off?.... i am ready for my change.

CarebearsChris

Sarah
I believe WW says 1 1/2 to 2 pounds a week is normal...doing either Flex or Core. Your first week or 2 you may loss more than that. This is what they say is normal. Now I had questioned why they loss so much on The Biggest Loser. The answer I got was one they were working out 5-6 hours a day (most people don't have that kind of time). Also they are under constant medical supervision (again most people don't have doctor's following us around as we exercise).

hello all! I too would like to join if you dont mind. My biggest goals are:
drink water
Stay OP
and lose 10 pounds

I would just be happy to lose anything I guess. I had a baby in June, and still think i can eat anything and it wont matter. Im worse now than when I was pregnant. Trying to make a better future.

Rose, I was just thinking we hadn't heard much from you this weekend. Did you have a good one?

I was at the bowling center all weekend. DH and I bowl Friday and Sunday nights. DSD bowls Saturday morning. And she was in a tournament yesterday...and she finished 3rd. I am so proud of her. She was going up against the best of the best. Of course the guy she bowled has no handicap and she carried 87 points handicap. She gave him a run for his money for sure. He bowled 268 with no hc and she did 229 with her hc. She was on cloud nine. I knew it would be a matter of time and she would be bowling better than me. And it has happened now.

Thanks for asking Chris. It was an "okay" weekend. I got in on a Hershey's Cacao Party from House Party. They sent me a box of 15 lbs of Cacao chocolates. It's been heck to stay out of it. I'm bringing the box to work tomorrow and leaving it here until I have the party to give it all away. I do fine during the day but that darn chocolate calls my name at night. First softly, then ever so loudly. It's one of those "red light" foods that Weight Watchers used to talk about. Chocolate and Ice Cream. Food that I can't have just a serving of and let it go. I'm hoping to learn to cope with those two devils but it's one step at a time.

AWWW chocolate and ice cream. Since starting with WW in September I have not had a bowl of ice cream (which used to be my night snack almost every night). I have had the WW ice cream bars. Not quite the same but close. For my chocolate fix, I eat one of 3 things. Yoplait whipped chocolate mousse, 3 points (usually for breakfast), suger free pudding, 2 points, or Fudge strips 100 calorie pack, 2 points. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't take care of the chocolate fix.

Thanks for the support guys. I have a really hard time saying no to all the good food in front of me. I will do my best these next couple of weeks, and take it day by day. I've already had 3 pieces of See's chocos, but I WILL work out when I get home to at least off set the cals. Christie, good luck on your WI on Thurs, you'll do great!

Hi everyone, Congrad on your losses and maintence. I have to weigh in tom .My first real weigh in. I am so scared. I have to record today. I hope I stayed in my pts...... I may have gone over.... I also started tom today.. Since you all have been on this longer what do you suggest wait a day to weigh in or just go weigh in cuz I started today? Not sure what to do but want a loss or no gain...

Hey shellybelly, I remember you from a long time ago. You and I were buddies on the main site. I do not think there is another shellybelly. My gosh you are doing great. Congrads to you. I finally got a medical ok to start again. I did lose 16 pds but gained it all back plus.....ARGHHH I figured I would join ww for the double support. Anyway it is nice to see you are doing great.....

Ladies let me know about the weigh in tom. NOt sure what to do?

Morning. I suck, but whatever. It's December and the best I can really hope for is maintenance. My work gets sooooo much junk, and I can resist most of it, but the days I can't resist and I eat some, I end up screwing up the whole day!!!!:stress: :stress: Aargh. I wish I could have that mentality that it won't kill me to eat just one, and count it, and then get right back on track. It's like "oh well, I've already screwed up, might as well finish off the day with more crap". My question to you ladies is... do you think a more relaxed "diet", where you lose less weight at once, but you don't really limit the things you put in your mouth, or a more strict "diet", where you only eat a few things, but let yourself have one day of rest, and lose weight faster, is better?:?: :?: Sorry, run on sentance. I:( 'm finding that I eat the same 20 or so items, and then end up screwing up more on the weekend, and Mondays. I'm afraid that if I let myself eat whatever floats my boat, but still count it, that I may not lose weight. I feel that unless I restrict my diet, I will just be gaining, and not losing. I need some input!!! Help me, please!

DJ- I remember you too!!! You are doing so well with your loss! Don't worry about TOM, if you gain this week, it will just boost your loss next week!!! It's when we start making excuses, and changing up WI, or not going, that we end up getting lax and eventually quitting. You'll do great!

Shelliebellie - someone somewhere (here or at WW site) had a saying "If you dropped one egg out of a dozen, you wouldn't throw the whole dozen down would you?" You and only you can stop the cycle. I know it's hard once you feel you've let yourself down, but only you can stop the fork to your mouth or your hand from picking up the next bite. I think of the egg analogy every time I get off track. In fact, it has helped me immensely with the box of Hershey chocolates that are sitting on my dining room table and the boxes of gourmet cookies that are in our work area kitchen right now. I know they will not taste nearly as good as I think they should so I'm just not doing it right now.

well I lost 3.6 pds. WHOOOOO I am so happy. I still have a huge amount to go but at least I did not gain.........I recordrd everything and that helped. I have to do that again this week. That is where I always failed.....

Shelly, You are doing whatever you are doing RIGHT. LOOK at your weight loss.Oh my gosh people would kill to have that Kind of loss. You are only human and will have bad and good days. But if you ask me You are doing it right cuz of your loss. Hang in there. You will be fine just do your best and do not change your plan.......

Anyways off to record what I ate today. Plan this week is to record and drink my water......Hopefully get in some exercise.....

I'd love to get in on the December challenge. I lost a total of 3.6 for the month of November and I'd like to do better than that for December. I think if I loose 7 lbs by the first of January and anothe 3 by the time I leave for vacation on Jan 13 I can get into the summer clothes I packed away when I started gaining again after quiting WW back in January 2002. I do the yo-yo thing real well.

I think that the small goals are really key to getting to the overall goal with alot more focus and determination...It feels so good when the ticker says Congratulations you have met your goal ;) and it makes you want to see it again and again..You are doing just awsome and I know that you will reach every goal you set for yourself, Have a great day

12-19-2006, 06:59 PM
Chris, I know what you mean about this being a quiet thread this month. For me, I know that I have failed repeatedly this month, and I don't want to face even myself until the 1st of the year. Holidays are a hard time to catch up and keep up the routine.

CarebearsChris
12-19-2006, 10:47 PM
Yes, for most people the holidays are busy and it is hard to stay on track. I think I am the exception to that rule. We lightly decorate for the holidays...this is the first year in about 4 that we have even done that. Shopping consists of gift cards for the kids. Baking is 2-3 batches of hard rock candy..that I swore I wasn't making this year but I have friends insisting I make it. Dinner on Christmas day is a Ham dinner but not a lot of fancy stuff. I am really not into Christmas. As a matter of fact if it was removed from the calendar all togethrer you would get no complaints from me.
