between now and dec 31st, these are my goals:

Exercise 4 times a week
-run 2x a week
- lift weights 3x a week

Practice yoga daily

Drink at least 32 oz of water a day

Take either one yoga or pilates class.

My goals will change monthly. My starting weight is 215, and I don't want to set a weight loss goal. I want to get healthy above all else.

I got in a 30 min walk/run today. One of these days, (maybe tomorrow) I will go and clock my 1/4 mile time, and try to beat it. I wanted to try a mile, but i'm not in any shape for that right now.

Hi dcapaulet, good on you for starting an exercise goal, have you goals for food and weight as well ?
Have you thought about trying the c25k plan to get into running with ?
I starting that myself and i'm so unfit, so I'm counting on this plan to help me back into running, it's been awhile :D .

i am actually on that program... i went running outside on friday, nothing too heavy, and my upper thighs hurt so much that i couldn't do it again today. when i heal, i will start again.

don't wait until all the pain has gone or you will be starting all over again, you can walk through the pain sometimes. As it lessens as your muscles warm up and lossen up.

I applaud your fitness goal!

Though you said your goal was to exercise 4x/week, but it sounds like you actually plan a lot more than that!!

i have to make a reasonable goal for myself, so when i exceed it, it still feels good.

i really want to be up to 5 days a week, but slow and steady. ;)

things have been super crazy for me. For the most part, i followed my eating plan this week, but got in NO exercise. I want to get some in tonight, and get back on the wagon so i can have a healthy weekend.:carrot:

also, my husband and i had date night, which was dinner and a movie. i have to say we had a great time, and some BEAUTIFUL tiramisu.

food was perfect yesterday... and that's the first time i can say that in a long while. today will probably be an at home workout today, because i can't get to the gym. i am determined, however, to get in at least 60 minutes.

and my water goal looks good for today. food has been good too.

I thought you knew.

I told you a thousand times

with my eyes

my smile

my gentle touch

You said it, too.

with your looks

your smile

your pause that was

Just long enough to make me wonder

Is it true?

maybe not loving

but Longing

or desire
(my desire could split the atom)

It is you

that cuts right to the heart of me

in that moment

the look

the pause
(past all our flaws)

beyond committments and ties

away from all the lies

To love and back

and hearts in a stack

left of broken dreams

held together by the seams

Or is it?

Another visit

Is what I live (love) for.

Look at me again

when no one's around

tell me I'm wrong

if that's true

but give me your look

and it will live forever

in the place of that

piece of my heart that you took.

i realized that it's time to set new goals.

1. drink at least 40 oz of water per day.

2. meet my goal of 1000 exercise minutes.

3. practice yoga daily, if only for ten minutes.

i want to do more, but i think it would be too much. so i'm starting small.

How do you keep track of your water intake?

What is 1000 exercise minutes, dcapulet? 600 minutes would be ten hours, so 1000 minutes would be what . . . 16 hours? Yikes! I must not understand what that is.

yesterday was an "off" day.

i forgot how good those feel when you actually work out on the other days.

after several tries, the scale says about 218 this week. i feel very dry and my jewelry is tight, so i know i'm retaining water. i hope that's all it is.

i want to set some goals for this week.

exercise at least 120 minutes, or 4 days.

drink my 40oz of water daily.

eat no more than my 26 ww points per day.

i also think that two days in a row without exercise is not a good thing for me. i want to break up my days.

Sunday: min 30 minutes of cardio.
Monday: lower body weights, cardio
Tuesday: upper body weights, cardio
Wednesday: off (or light yoga)
Thursday: lower body weights, cardio
Friday: off
Saturday: upper body weights, cardio

i am soooooo tired this week. i'm so run down. i'm taking my iron and suppliments, so i'm not sure what's happening. maybe it's because i'm not exercising?

dcapulet

i am in the middle of a binge day. i want to turn it around by eating sensibly for the rest of the day, and then going to the gym tonight.

dcapulet
01-13-2007, 01:38 PM

3 cardio sessions
2 weight sessions

dcapulet
01-15-2007, 12:13 AM

Good for you for sticking with this plan -- somewhat similar to mine (see signature), but yea, food's the hard part, esp. when I get asked out to eat... it's rather hard to figure out calories & to limit my portions.

dcapulet
01-17-2007, 09:46 PM
food's a big part of my problem, too. exercise is easy.

how do you balance both?

kiwichic
01-17-2007, 10:20 PM
things that can make you tired ,can be feeling down, eating to much sugar and not exercising . I hope your day gets better.
