I've always been curious...
1. What plan are you following?
2. What does your typical grocery list look like?
For me...
1. I'm calorie counting
2. My typical grocery list looks like:
1% Milk
WW Bread
Rice Cakes (low fat)
Medium Eggs
Chopped Romaine
Bananas
Mandarin Oranges or Tangerines
Baby Carrots
Mushrooms
Tomatoes
Salad Dressing (creamy, but low-cal)
Instant Oatmeal
A plethora of soups (condensed or hearty)
Onions
Raspberries
Kiwis
Yogurt
Skim Mozza
Rice
Chicken Breast (skinless/boneless in the bulk pack)
Lean Ground Beef
Steaks (I trim the fat myself)
ICBINB
Frozen Peas, Corn, Broccoli, and Brussel Sprouts
Turkey Pot Pies (low fat for those days I don't want to cook)
Potatoes
Jell-O
It's not always the same, but generally this is what I buy at some point during the month.
I'm on a plan of my own design and it has evolved over the past 3 years...
light vanilla soy milk
egg whites
non-fat yogurt
sring cheese/shredded cheddar
frozen vegetables
soup
ground turkey (when I do buy meat, which isn't often)
bran
bananas
carrots
tomatoes
bagged green
apples
oranges
Naked juice
celery
parsley
beets (as of late)
cantaloupe
seltzer water
pickles
"meal" stuff- whatever I'm making for Sunday dinner
Grocery List:
- Fruit, 2 per day varies with what is in season....orange,
apple, banana, cantaloupe, watermelon, honeydew melon, all kinds of
berries, pineapple, grapes, kiwi, peaches, nectarines, plums, plouts, lemon,
limes (keep a fruit bowl in my office and collegues come by to get some,
subtle way of letting them know not to bring me sweets)
- Veggies: bagged spinach, lettuce, broccoli, cauliflower, cucumbers,
carrots, celery, tomatoes, avocado, mushrooms, onions, garlic
- Canned green beans
- Black Beans
- Fatfree refried beans
- Salsa
- Chicken breasts
- Some type of fish for two meals
- whole wheat flour and corn tortillas
- eggs
- fat free milk
- fat free yogurt
- fat free cottage cheese
- low fat shredded mozzarella cheese
- Triscuits
- whole wheat pasta
and then what might be on sale or I find interesting.
I won't tell you what I by for my husband, I put all his junk food on the very top shelf that is above my eye level in the pantry so I never see it. He even forgets it is there sometimes, but he does have his cravings for junk food sometimes.

lf lunchmeat (turkey)
I can't remember more, though I know there was more. Hmmm. It was a pretty thorough grocery shop, so I know I'm missing stuff. That's pretty indicative of a usual shopping trip... Sometimes more veggies, sometimes more dairy (cottage cheese), sometimes cereal, etc....
What a great question.. I just got back from a quick run to the grocery store
I'm on Weight Watchers and I tend to eat more vegetarianish lately.
