Hello. I am a 29 yr old SAHM (2 kids - ages 5 and 2). I have been needing to lose weight for some time now. I wasn't what I would call "skinny or thin" at my best weight, but was healthy. It is my goal to get around that number again. I have been adding on the pounds slowly since I was about 21. I remember the scale reading about 150 and being happy with that. I am fairly tall, 5'9", so I can pull off the weight okay. I have also been "blessed" by more lean muscle tissue than most. This equates to me not looking like I weigh 300 lbs, but the flip side of that is when I just work-out and disregard what I am eating, I tend to build more muscle and the scale goes up not down.
I will be going to my first WW meeting this morning to see how I like it. I have a friend who has been off and on WW for a while and she has agreed to attend the meetings if I decide to join. I stumbled upon this forum when I was checking into different weight loss programs. I look forward to participating as much as possible to the forums. I know this will be a long journey, but I am finally ready for a change.
