Weight Watchers - When did you set your goal weight?

I know we've talked about goal weights before, and what is average, etc. My question is when did you set your goal weight? I changed my ticker to show the highest weight in the weight range for my height, but when did you decide if that was a good weight for you? I believe I have to be within that range for WW to recognize it, but I've never sat down and talked to them about it, I'm not sure if I'm ready to yet or not!

I just picked a weight that was within my age/height range and felt that I would feel GREAT at that weight. It may change as I discuss with my leader and how I feel further down the road. Right now, it's just "out there" for a number to reach for me - it's not set in stone

I've *never* in the 3 times I've been to WW talked to *them* about a goal weight. 135 is my goal because that's the best I've felt and looked while having a moderate lifestyle. I've been lighter, sure, even after having a baby, but I wasn't eating healthy, or I was exercising like a maniac.

WW had my goal weight set 156 lbs which I got to 3 times but just can't maintain. I found that I couldn't seem to stay below 160 so I figured my body was telling me something.
I feel comfortable between 160 -165 lbs and I look fine at that weight range and can maintain that without starving and stressing myself out. That puts me at a size 9/10 which is just fine by me. I feel good at that size/weight so that's what I'm sticking to. :)
I'm focusing more on eating good nutritious food and exercising.

My set my goal weight yesterday, after I thought long and hard about when i felt the best in my weight.
It was almost 3 years ago, I was right around 200 and my 32 jeans were fitting really good, now they dont even go up my thighs! It stinks when you have that favorite pair of pants you can wear no more and you use to wear them on a daily basis, it really makes you stop and think about all the things you've done to get to that point.
Although thinking about a past weight is a good thing, it reminds you that you have been there before and its just up to you do suck it up and start over again!
Well i hope everbody has a great day!

Usually leaders won't talk to you until you are within 5 pounds of the high end and sometimes they won't come to you (this is so true for bigger groups). So when you are comfortable go to your leader and set a goal.
I however did not set mine until I actually reached the SIZE I wanted to be. Once I hit size 8 I set the goal weight at an even number (150, 155, etc). So the day I hit size 8 at weight 150 I set it at 150. But I had also previously talked to my doctor to help me set a realistic goal for me.
W/W will recognize any goal weight that is set no matter if it is within their standards or not as long as you have a note from your doctor stating that your goal weight is XXX. I am 5'4" and the highest per W/W is 145 for all ages and my weight is 150 and my doctor wrote that for me.

Thank you all for the info. I'm not ready for a goal weight yet, and like Rosegarden, just picked a number that was within my range as a target to head towards. Some days all of this (ww) is so clear, and other days it's clear as mud! HA!
