Good morning, Beach Beauties! Ready to roll?

Just remember to add veggies wherever you can - V8 works for breakfast. Also be sure to gt your dairy and legumes - this is a good carb plan, not a low carb plan.

Let's go!!!!

11-06-2006, 09:24 AM
Thanks Ruth :D

Todays menu looks like this so far...

Breakfast- 2 eggs and 2 slices turkey bacon and 1 glass low fat milk

will be back to fill in more later ...

Well today is my first day on Phase One. I weiged myself in, took some measurements, ate my breakfast (2 eggs, skim milk and V8) and I even exercised already this morning!! If you knew me, you'd know how rare that is!

I am starting out with a great attitude and I am really excited to do this! Glad to have others on this journey with me! Have a super day!

11-06-2006, 11:32 AM

11-06-2006, 12:02 PM
Hello everyone !

I haven't posted for about a week as I've been very, very bad. It's funny how we just want to avoid everyone when we've been bad ---- fear of judgment maybe - although I know if anyone understands it's you guys. I should've been here sooner...

I just feel like I went nuts. Carb crazy. Chips, peanuts... left over halloween candy. I'm just so disappointed in myself. I made it through Thanksgiving (I'm in Canada) on P1 without any problems and then I go to P2 and just get all crazy. Over the weekend I threw out all rules completely :moo:

So, here I am starting P1 AGAIN. 2 scrambled eggs and sliced tomatoes for breakfast. I haven't weighed myself yet. I'll be going up to the gym in about an hour to do that. I dread doing that. I'll post my starting weight as soon as I do... I can feel my pants tight already where they were feeling loose before. BF told me how great I was looking, trying to be encouraging I think as he saw me go all crazy for goodies. :fr:

2 weeks of P1 here I come - let's do this together and check in everyday - I think checking in and writing actually helps - reminds me of why I'm doing this and motivates me to keep going. It's as if we can be accountable to each other and stay on track.

Be well everyone - have a great P1 day:flow1:

11-06-2006, 12:12 PM
Good morning all! Welp, I'm still on P1! Last week wasn't entirely P1, but it was okay. Here's today's menu:

B: 2 eggs scrambled w/ onions, V8, skim milk
S: Activia yogurt
L: Lean ground beef w/ 1 c veggies & SF pasta sause, 1 c baked squash
S: Celery w/ 3 slices LF deli turkey
D: Chicken rollatinis, 1 c steamed green beans, 1 c sauteed peppers
D: SF Fudgesicle

I've got to really make myself stay OP. My ticker hasn't moved in weeks!! I forgot to W-I this morning and I have a sneaking suspicion that the scale is up because my jeans are a little tighter this morning. I think I need to find out if I'm extremely sensitive to certain things to see if that's affecting my lack of loss. I've been tested for hypothyroidism as well as polycystic ovary syndrome, so I can rule those out. I'm going to give it until the end of Nov and then if my losses don't pick back up, I'll make some appointments. Hope this trip to P1 actually works.

Felt like I needed some protein, so I added some deli turkey to my afternoon snack!

11-06-2006, 12:48 PM
Wow it is great to see this board a jumping :D

Kris- Glad to have you here as well, I am sure that if we all stay true to the program we will all have great success stories ;)

gingersnap- I dont have the book anymore, I just cant find it, but I know there is alot of info on the board here and recipies to boot, they can really help when you are in a pinch.

Tamara- I am with you on needing to post and stick together...accountablity is the key, You will do great!

Kim- That ticker is on its way down I am sure of it ;)

Well lunch is gonna be boring  But I am gonna have a lean ground beef patty with lowfat cheese melted on it and a can of green beans Supper will be some chicken breast and broccoli and cauliflower and if I need snacks later I will have sf jello and a fudgesicle, Have a great one guys!!

11-06-2006, 01:42 PM
Well, I made it to the gym to weigh myself - 181.5 - that's a 4 1/2 pound gain in one week - EEK ! I don't know why I do this to myself, my TMO is going to be here in a week as well... I'll change my ticker so that I can keep myself real... :dust:

Kim - don't give up ! I've been reading your posts for a while and always look forward to what you have to say - you are an inspiration !!
:goodvibes :cheer2:

11-06-2006, 04:06 PM
Hi, Ladies. I hope your day is going well. I am starting over on Phase I again (started yesterday). Darn Halloween candy!!! I am half way through day two. I don't want post what I have been eating today because I know it's not nearly enough, but I will anyway (accountability). We hit the ground running this morning and all three of us (me hubby and baby) are sick with a cold of some kind. Breakfast was a hard boiled egg that I have left over from yesterday. We went to my son's feeding therapy appointment (he is obviously not learning how to eat from watching mommy because if he were, he would be the fattest baby we know) and I now have a late lunch/snack in the oven. Dinner will be grilled chicken breast, green beans, broccoli (with a cheese sauce made from skim milk and LF cheese) and I will have a SF fruitcicle for a snack/dessert.

Starting over is good. It means you have a better chance at success because you can learn from your previous mistakes.

11-06-2006, 04:12 PM
Thanks for the welcome. We can do this together girls. There is power in numbers right? We all know how powerful that scale number is. ;)

Got the book and found out that three things I brought for lunch are not allowed so today won't be too good. I am officially starting P1 tomorrow. :D

I will definitely be checking in everyday with my menu so please check it out and keep me on track if you are around. :smug:

11-06-2006, 04:20 PM
ebb- Your supper looks yummy

gingersnap- Good job on getting the book, if you need any help there are lots of ladies on here that will be glad to assist you in any way (me being one of them ) :D

Tamara- I was up 5 just over the weekend here too, I hate when that happens, I am close to TOM myself, that is probably all it is (lets hope) :dizzy:

11-06-2006, 07:06 PM
This is day 4 for me on Phase 1. It's been going well thus far. I will weigh myself in 4 days to see if I've lost weight. I am determined as heck to lose the weight this go around. I also have an opportunity to work as a paid roomate so life is good.

11-06-2006, 08:13 PM
foodobsessed- welcome to the board! Day 4! Great! I have only made it to day three before I mess myself up.

can I ask... what is a paid roommate?

11-06-2006, 08:55 PM
Hi! I am just getting started. It is not the first time I've lost 100 pounds. Did in the '80 on an Optifast diet. Would like to eat normal healthy food and loose weight in some sane fashion. That I would try this and stop setting myself up to fail. :)

don't know if this is the right forum to use....if it's not I hopw someone will let me know!

11-06-2006, 09:01 PM
:censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :tantrum: :tantrum:   What is wrong with me?!?! Why do I keep messing up? I would say I don't want this weight loss as much as I say I do, but I do. I do. *sigh* I don't know. I suck.

11-06-2006, 10:33 PM
Ebb&Flow- I know how you're feeling! I'm the girl who flogs herself publically when I mess up, so here's my advice that I stink at following. :) Try not to beat youself up too much; don't think of it as messing up or cheating so much as indulging yourself temporarily and once in a while and then hoping right back on the wagon.

I mean, it's a lifestyle change, and you can't "be good" always. You'll just end up depressed and mad at yourself, and then where will you be? Right back in the food.

Look at how far you've come already! 23lbs is like a toddler or old baby. Or 3 newborns. You've had triplets! (Sorry, I think about everything in terms of babies these days. "How much do you weigh?" "Oh, about 31 babies." I think it's because I work in a baby store and everyone around me is insisting on procreating. :))

11-07-2006, 09:45 AM
Mindala-Your in the right spot...South Beach is a very healthy way to lose weight and we are glad to have you  If you need any extra help look on the info boards they help alot.

ebb- Today is a new day with no mistakes in it ;) Go from here

Lisa- The baby analogy make alot of since..I never looked at it that way..

Well today I am doing pretty good, down about another pound and it is my third full day, so here is my menu so far.. I have to go shopping so I will fill it in better afterwhile...

1 egg and 2 slices turkey bacon and glass of skim milk

11-07-2006, 09:57 AM
Hi Mindala and :welcome: to the Beach! You are definitely in the right spot so pull up your Beach towel and settle in.

11-07-2006, 10:56 AM
Goodmorning ladies. Well offically day 1 - because of the carrots yesterday - so menu is

2 eggs
2 slices roast beef
2 slices provolone cheese
2 celery sticks with ceasar dressing
I brought a tomato too in case I get hungry later. Not sure what order I am going to eat this in. I am still fighting myself because I really want a toffee nut latte with whip today. BUT...I am 12 oz. of water down so hopefully I can keep myself busy and make it go away.

11-07-2006, 11:00 AM
Hang in there gingersnap ;) Do you like coffee with splenda?? That may help with the cravings. your gonna do great I just know it

11-07-2006, 11:40 AM
I started yesterday with good intentions and then decided - well, I may as well get all the cravings out of the way. Soooo.... today is officially Day 1 for me. Scrambled eggs w/ LF cheese and tomatoe slices for breaky. Don't know what I'm going to do for lunch... Try and grab a salad somewhere. Ugh, work is going to be crazy - so much to do - better get at it.

Hang in there everyone. Today is a new day !!

11-07-2006, 11:48 AM
You guys are doing great! Keep up the good work. I hope I can do as well as you guys.

Christian- New day, fresh start. Thank you for reminding me of that.

Ginger- I am right there with you. I am restarting with you today. Come on. We can do this!! We know the diet, we have support, we have a desire to do it. we need to do this :kickbutt: to those cravings.

11-07-2006, 12:00 PM
Remember that dairy and legumes work wonders in staving off those darned cravings! :grouphug:

11-07-2006, 12:46 PM
a paid roomate is where u get paid to be someone's roomate.

11-07-2006, 02:29 PM
Thanks for the reminder Ruth, I am adding the taco soup recipie into my menu for lunch tommorow and I getting my milk in eveyday...I am just not hungry like I was yesterday I am so glad the cravings are at bay (for now) ;)

Lunch was a salad and 4 oz sirloin

Supper- will be a huge taco salad (lettuce, rf cheddar, and 3 oz lean ground chuck, and salsa)

and snack will be a sf fudgesicle if I need it...Have a great day on the beach ladies ;)

11-07-2006, 03:08 PM
Christian- Mmm! I love taco salads; I'm a vegetarian so I don't use beef, but I do put a sprinkle of black beans, cheese, and sometimes a little hardboiled egg. I just love lettuce and salsa!

11-08-2006, 11:39 AM
Well, all in all, yesterday went pretty good. I had scrambled eggs with LF cheese and sliced tomatoes for breaky - same thing today actually - and salad for lunch with balsamic vinagarette. For dinner, it was a huge bowl of smashed cauliflower and green beans. Oh, I shouldn't forget about that small bag of pistachios I downed in the afternoon. Maybe it didn't go so good after all...

Today is a new day. I have a networking meeting in about an hour and I'll just have a glass of tomatoe juice.

Check in with you chickies later and see how everyone else is doing....:)

11-08-2006, 11:57 AM
Yesterday wasn't great food-wise. I did get my workout in, which was great. My eating was sub-par as a result of being locked in the vote-counting yesterday. There were subway sandwiches and chips for lunch -- I skipped those because I was SURE I'd get out of there by dinner time. Well dinner time rolled around and they served pizza. Luckily, my SIL was kind enough to pass me a salad through the window (we were required to keep the doors locked in our rooms.) Anyways. Back on track this morning!!

11-08-2006, 01:13 PM
Hey, ladies. I think you guys did well. I don't see any desserts or loaves of bread in there. I mean you made tough situations work, but that is just my opinion.

Yesterday went well. I made it through another day 1 of phase 1. I also exercised last night to keep from pigging out. So I got in about 35 of cardio and some push ups crunches and stretching.

I had egg muffins for breakfast
Lunch was meatloaf- no bread crumbs and lf cheese lots of chopped veggies.
dinner- we ordered chinese, but I was strong. I got steamed chicken and veggies (no carrots) and brown sauce on the side. no rice.
For snack after I tried the ricotta cheese with flavoring and sweetener packet, but it just wasn't for me so I only had a couple bites.

This morning is started with a cup of skim milk and SF mocha coffee mix.
Breakfast eggbeater omelet with LF cheese and two pieces turkey bacon.
Lunch is planned to be tuna canned in water and 1 T of veganaise and some steamed veggies.
Dinner will probably be the leftover steamed chicken and veggies.
Snack is going to be SF Jello.

I think I will try to get some beans in there somewhere.

11-09-2006, 01:26 AM
Well, I am hanging in there, but tonight was rough with sugar/carb cravings. Sugar free jello wasn't doing much for me tonight. :) I didn't crack, but 2 weeks is seeming like an eternity about now.

It seems I do fine all day, but around 9 pm - midnight is the hardest time for me. I remember from my first go around with SBD, that the cravings DO go away, so I just keep telling myself that.

11-09-2006, 08:52 AM
Wow you ladies are doing really good....staying strong is very hard, but oh the results are so worth it.....we can do it :cheer:

I had a huge victory yesterday...I went to visit family and packed my lunch so I wouldnt cheat...even turned down my aunts homeade peanut butter pie and her homeade jelly  I am so proud of myself this morning, and the scale showed a loss...rewards are sweet when you have to fight for them ...and actually win ;)

11-09-2006, 09:03 AM
i fell off the wagon this its back to phase I for the next 2 weeks working on the menu now last thanksgiving i did the phase I for the 2 weeks before and then on turkey day everything was like a great treat the only thing not sb was my dressing...and i did not gain a goal is to lose 10 lbs by christmas should be no prob since thats a 2lb loss/week for 5 weeks
so heres to a lighter holiday season

11-09-2006, 09:12 AM
:welcome: bubble gum mom!
I am sure you will reach your goal, you sound very determined to lose the 10 pounds..I think that is the key to being successful

11-09-2006, 12:05 PM
Good morning Chickies ! :coffee:

For dinner last night, salmon - fried in butter - but that's my treat :o) I'd rather use butter than margerine and I suppose I could've fried it in Pam, but because I don't drink milk, I try to get some calcium in any way I can. I let myself have butter. Also had a nice veggie salad with it. That's it ! I had huge munchies around 8:00 p.m., but avoided and felt good about myself for it. All I wanted was one dinosour... but I know one will to twenty in no time.

This morning - scrambled eggs with LF cheese and sliced tomatoes. I just won't get sick of it.

If I was stuck on a desert island and could only eat one thing for the rest of my life, it would be salad. I'll never get sick of it. I started putting just lemon juice with salt and pepper on it (I still have oil & vinegar most of the time), but I was pleasantly surprised at how good the lemon was. It really brings out the flavour of the veggies.

BF ate the salmon and salad with me. I made up a few baby potatoes for him. He doesn't need to suffer... actually, he's really super supportive and encouraging. I haven't told him I'm doing SBD, but he thinks I've "switched" the healthy eating "switch" on - that's all. Which is fine. I've told him what I've restricted myself to eating and he's seen progress - or he says he sees progress - so that makes me feel good. He never asks me to make him anything different than I'm eating. I just do it 'cuz I know he likes it. :val2:

Tonight we are going out for dinner. I usually don't have any problems finding healthy things to eat though. I modify everything that I order to fit the program. It's almost a Harry met Sally thing....:cofdate:

Anyhoo... day 3 !! YaY !! :cheer:

Christian - I believe it has more to do with determination than will power - well, you can get one from the other. But the resolve to be healthy and strong is a life changing resolve that, once started, is hard to let go of.

Bubblegummom - It's okay to fall off once in awhile - just get right back on ! You're doing great ! Not taking notice of the fall or denying it to yourself is the worst thing. Don't beat yourself up. We all need indulgences. The challenges are part of our growth and strength :o)

Rainydaygirl - I had a huge sugar craving last night too. Isn't it the worst at the worst time of night ? On P2 we could have some apple slices or something - mmm - or strawberries... (oh stop thinking about it Tamara !) I read somewhere on here that "no food after 7:00 p.m." was someones strategy. I think that's a great strategy and I'm trying to follow it myself. You're right, the cravings will go away. I can't wait...

Ebb&flow - WOW ! I don't know if I could do it.. I love the veggies, but my favourite is that deep fried rice stuff.-

Kim_Star - That must've been tough ! Good for you for getting your work out it - you're ahead of the game. I haven't taken up exercising yet, but I do pay 60$ a month for a gym membership just upstairs from my office.... ooooh, I'm feeling guilty now.... :woops:

Oh yeah, I wanted to tell you ladies that the picture of me posted here is like 10 years old - and I weigh 140 there. I'm going to try and post a new one so ya'll can see what I look like now....

Back in a few ...

11-09-2006, 12:27 PM
Ok - I see the change in picture worked.... that's me right now...

11-09-2006, 05:14 PM
Hey ladies.

I worked out for the second day in a row last night. Tonight should make three. So I think the exercise is starting off pretty well. I did well eating yesterday and the early part of today. I jumped off the wagon (I wouldn't say I fell off because it was planned) today. I don't know what you guys are planning to do for the holidays, but I plan to do my best and be very discriminating as far as what I am willing to eat. I know I would be lying if I said I would be still following phase I on Thanksgiving day. Same thing today. Today was the ceremony for the Marine Corps Birthday. Every year there is a ball or if you work some place like my Dh there is just a cake cutting ceremony. I knew it was coming up and knew I would have a piece. I had a small one and am back on plan. I plan on working out a little extra tonight. I know I will probably get a lot of cravings for sugar that I will have to fight off for another week or so, but the Marine Corps birthday cake is a big thing for me and DH (has been since our first ball together). This year they didn't invite family to the ceremony. DH hid a piece of it and walked it home to me after the ceremony. He's so sweet. Does this mean I have to start Phase I all over again or can I move on from here?

On my way to weightloss meeting...wish me luck ;)
If I dont get back online tonight I will be back on the morning :D

11-09-2006, 11:21 PM
Ebb- I say you just move on. You only have to repeat P1 if you feel you need to spend some extra time getting rid of cravings. And that's the best part about SB! You can have your cake, eat it (but only once in a while! ;)), and then hop right back on the wagon.

11-11-2006, 12:55 PM
Day 7 here...Where is everyone???

Doing really good with no hunger to speak of, but I am sure it is just because in my mind I know that there is only 7 more days and I really want to see just how much more I can lose ;) My DD ate a donut in front of me this morning with icing and sprinkles and I didnt even eat a sprinkle  So I might just make it after all ....

11-11-2006, 02:30 PM
Christian: You gottem strong :dust: :cp: on resisting that donut  It is pretty amazing what phase 1 does to you though.. when you stick with it things you use to  for .. you just seem to say "meh"

I try to do a modified "phase 1.5"

Today I had a WW muffin , ICBINB, Cawfee (afcourse!)

snack was: Tomato juice and a ham and cheese roll up.

Lunch was: Tossed salad with beans and a splenda/vinegar water dressing, 6oz of yogurt.

not sure what my PM snack will be ... but dinner, I'm making meatloaf. I'm not sure if it will be an Italian Mexican or "Hawaiian" one yet... And broccoli and cauliflower in a cheese sauce.

Dessert I am trying the oatmeal cookie recipe and a glass of 1% milk.

11-11-2006, 08:12 PM
Hi all. I was here a couple of months ago. Then I started WW. It does not work for me. I'm pretty sure I'm insulin resistant. So I think I'll start this again Monday. Anyone have any on the go suggestions for breakfast? I don't care for those quiche bars. Can I have low fat soy milk?

11-11-2006, 08:33 PM
Hey Debie- I am a plain old egg and turkey bacon girl here but there may be alot of good choices on the phase one breakfast thread, I just cant wait to get oatmeal in phase 2  as far as the soy milk goes i had better let that one go to a vet at Sb, I am only on day 7 ;) Good luck and I am glad you are here, I cant wait to see your success..

11-11-2006, 09:03 PM
I wont be able to get online till tommorow afternoon, so here is the menu for Sunday...

11-12-2006, 05:05 AM

11-14-2006, 03:28 PM
Today is day far so good and the scale is being VERY good to me so far, and even an inch or two gone overall with no exercise, and to me that is amazing in itself ;) I am having baked chicken and green beans for supperand maybe some sf jello for dessert or a sf fudgesicle ...Hope everyone is having a great day :D

11-14-2006, 06:17 PM
Hey Debie  from one VA girl to another! Welcome back to the beach!

11-14-2006, 08:14 PM

I guess I am a little to early for this. I am 2 days past my two weeks. I just wanted to encourage everyone. If I can do this so can you--I say that because I love to eat pasta and bread. Now I can honestly say that I don't have to love eating pasta and bread.

I was really hungry on the fourth day. I ate lots everything legal and survived. To be honest I am sort of afraid to start eating bread again. Yesterday I had 1/2 wholewheat bagel. Today I splurged and had two whole wheat products. Instead of using pasta I have learn to make pasta dishes using sqaush. Cover it with sauce and cheese and it is actually pretty good. Well thats all for now. See everyone on Phase II.

Two Peas In A Pod

11-14-2006, 10:10 PM
Two peas- Looking forward to joining you in phase 2 soon :D 11 pounds ....that is just AWSOME!!!

Hi, I'm new here. I am Day 10 of Phase 1. I had a really difficult day yesterday, but today has been ALOT better. I've lost 5lbs and am hoping for a few more before the end of Phase 1. Good luck and I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you!:D

11-15-2006, 03:46 PM

Thanks Christian. Wow, I'm impressed by your stats. That is awesome!! My first mini goal is 10lbs by Christmas.

myminime- Thanks :D You will hit the 10 pounds by then for sure ...this way of eating has been a lifesaver for me, I just couldnt control myself like I should on just calorie counting, I am beginning to think I am a true carb addict...the less I eat of them the better I feel and the scale goes down quick when I cut them back to non processed ones  Tommorw is day 12 for me...hang in there, we can do this

Christian- I think most of us are/were recovering bad carb addicts.

Hello, my name is Lisa and I'm addicted to bad carbs. But I've been clean and sober for 3 weeks! (I think three weeks. Something like that!)

Hey All!!

I'm trying to get back on track (after trying WW AGAIN with no success) ... and am on day 4 of Phase 1. Stepped on the scale this morning and am down 6 lbs so far!!!! I usually lose a lot in this phase...but I'm sure that being 100+ overweight has a lot to do with it!!!

What's everyone doing for Thanksgiving? I am currently not tempted by ANYTHING. I'm cooking too... so I have control! :P I told DH maybe I would allow myself ONE goodie... I think I may have a little stuffing. I'm not a sweets person, so not having pie is a cinch. :) It's all the stuffing, potatoes, biscuits, etc. that get me!

Thanks! :)

Cj- I am with you...not even tempted right now at all, in fact I have to stop and make myself eat (who would have ever though that)
Way to go on the 6 pounds ...that is just incredible!!! :encore:
I am also a big dressing fan and rolls are my favorite, but somehow even after planning to cheat that day...I am reconsidering, it really isnt worth it in the end and Thanksgiving is really about Family and being Thankful for what I have...and Oh am I ever Thankful for the many Blessing the Lord has givin me, Hope to get to know you better, and keep up the awazing work

11-16-2006, 03:34 PM
Amen, Christie!!! Even the "planned" splurge doesn't sound so good. DH is pretty into it too... he says he may just splurge on some good WW bread and have a sandwich later that night. There's an idea! :)

Isn't is wonderful to be thankful for what we have? God is good.

I'm not tempted either but I've never been all that big on Thanksgiving Dinner. I usually eat very little that day but splurge on leftovers the next day. I haven't decided if I'm going to cheat or not. Really, none of that stuff sounds appetizing right now. Good for you on the weight loss!!

Hi Ladies,

We are having a thanksgiving dinner at work tomorrow. I plan on making a low-carb cheese cake so I can have a yummy treat. I am in phase II so I can probably eat sweet pototoes sweetened with SG syrup.

By the way is anyone close to phase II yet? I think that since we are all new to SB we should still continue to support one another as we continue. What do you all think?

11-16-2006, 05:19 PM
Cj- We are truly blessed, and yes a ww sandwich does sound good ;)

myminime- feels good to have those cravings at bay huh?? :D

TwoPeas- I am on day 12 here and it would be awsome to go into phase 2 with others who are right there with me...Lets do this ladies!

11-16-2006, 05:42 PM
I should be heading into Phase 2 on Monday but I will probably delay it a day or two. I know we will be ordering Pizza on Tuesday night when my IL get in. I'm already stressed about that one. I am also going for sushi next Wednesday (I eat rolls, not sushimi) so that might be bad. So, I want to be 'strict' with myself up until then. having said that I need all the help and support I can get!

Hi myminime

About the pizza. You can get around that one by making it yourself. Buy lowcarb wraps and top it with your favorite toppings. Take it from me I am a pizza gal and this helps me make it thru... The one thing I have come to realize is there are always going to be times when people around us are eating things we cannot. However the food will always be there after we are thin. Trust me it's not going away.

Let us know how it works out for you.

Well ladies, I have accomplished the goal I had of 9 pounds during phase one a day early and couldnt be happier, I am with twopeas and know that food is always gonna be around and learning how to deal with it will help alot. I know I wont be perfect and hope to just be able to stick with it enough to keep the weight off once I hit my goal.

Ruth- Thanks for all the support you give, You are such a blessing on these boards

Have a great day guys!!!

Well today is my last day on phase one officially, I am staying on it until Thanksgiving though just so I can eat on that day and then re start it for a few days and then go to 2, I have a BIG Christmas party to go to with my Hubby the 9th of December and want to look smoking hot  I have never been this thin at one of his partys, in fact I have been quite a bit heavier at most of them as I seem to just eat this time of year ( whatever looks good )
Hope to see you all in phase 2 soon 4 more days till my reward meal

Great job on your weight loss. Doesn't it feel great! I really am happy that you have a short-term goal (Christmas party) to help keep you going.:bravo:

I am so excited to hear how all the other ladies are doing.

Just wanted to report that I did well at the work during 'thanksgiving feast.' I only ate 1/2 of what I had allotted myself. I saved the rest for an afternoon snack. I was able to take some adkins bread which I made in a bread machine and make stuffing. It was really good. Actually it is better than stuffing made with real bread. My lowcarb cheesecake was good too. Having that kept me from feeling like I was missing out. I even resisted the cookies.:carrot: I found out that sweet potatoes made with splenda is good too. Since everything I ate was a child-size portion I feel like I can now managed those big holiday meals. Since I can have eggs and a little mayo I even got to eat the deviled eggs.

By the way for all you out there who like Italian food I have been using yellow squash and zucchini instead of noodles. Smothered in cheese and sauce it is pretty good.

Any Buckeye fans on this thread? Today is the big Ohio State Michigan game. I am not really into football but I will watch this one because it is 'the big one.'

Well that's all for now.
