Default Is anyone going to watch (or did you watch) the You, On a Diet show fri nite?

It's on Saturday nite at 7 est as well. Sounds interesting; I give it merit bc it's on Discovery Health. I don't think he prescribes enough cardio for big time fat loss, but some of what he says is interesting. It's on tonite at 10.

Default Eye opening...

I watched part of it and Tivo'd it. Man, it makes me want to go to the kitchen and start throwing crap away. I can't believe the stuff that I have in my kitchen. After watching it, I really feel like I have a better understanding of what I should buy and eat, etc.

I can really feel for the woman that felt the frustration of grocery shopping. Have you ever tried to buy bread without High Fructose Corn Syrup? Or anything without HFCS? It's nearly impossible. I know that a lot of people are going to say that the show didn't reveal anything that they didn't already know, but I think for those of us who are just starting on the weight loss wagon, it's a good show to watch.

It's not all that hard. Getting rid of "all the crap", including all foods with corn syrup, high fructose corn syrup, malt, anything ending in "ose", white flour, corn, white potato, hydrogenating anything, and fried foods was how I lost 50 pounds five years ago, and continue to maintain the loss.

Your first couple of shopping trips will take a while while you learn which brands fit the model- shop the perimeter of the grocery store as much as possible. It's very doable and your body will thank you!
