(Costa Rica was fabulous, but I've been totally derailed ever since, though I have luckily only gained a few pounds back.) I'm starting small but getting back in the habit of visiting 3FC - I always stay way more honest with myself when I frequent these forums. :) Anyway, I just finished doing 25 minutes of brisk walking and climbing the stairs here at work. loveandlaughalways 11-27-2006, 07:41 PM I just read a great web site on eating before exercise in the morning; they have found a slight amount more fat grams burned if you don't eat before exercise in the morning, but not enough to make up more than a pound in a month compared to eating before exercise in the morning. They say it is more of a preference. I'm sticking with eating before exercise in the morning, that way I am not starving while working out or afterwards and eat the wrong things. http://www.apexfitness.com/html/nutrition/articles/toeat/ it is a great article also spoke about the intensity of the workout. 60 minutes interval walking/10 minutes weight training LisaMarie71 11-27-2006, 08:16 PM 33 min elliptical 25 min treadmill walk dustcatcher 11-27-2006, 09:32 PM Aquacize class 55 minutes, Walked dog 32 minutes dustcatcher mandalinn82 11-28-2006, 01:17 AM 60 min high intensity elliptical. alwaysbelieve 11-28-2006, 09:02 PM Cardio, pilates for toning, and weights for arms. dustcatcher 11-28-2006, 09:36 PM Walked dog 22 minutes dustcatcher Ilene 11-28-2006, 11:22 PM jog 30 mins... mandalinn82 11-28-2006, 11:27 PM 60 min on my friend the elliptical. I love that thing so much. I always wanted to run but can't, at least not at this weight, because I have bad knees that can't take the pressure (heck, i doubt i'll be able to run much even at my goal weight - i've lost 80 lbs and still the darned things hurt when I do too much thumping on them). Elliptical makes me so happy! All the "running" motion with none of the horrible bone grinding impact. LisaMarie71 11-29-2006, 01:19 PM mandalinn, I love the elliptical too, and I never thought I'd want to run, but I've been getting into it. Unfortunately, I just sprained my knee yesterday and spent the evening in the emergency room. Ack!! I'm freaking out about the prospect of not doing cardio for a while and getting set back in my running. The pain is bad, but I'm more worried about not being able to work out!!! :( mandalinn82 11-30-2006, 01:10 AM Oh, thats the worst! Heres for a quick recovery for you! In the meantime, my gym has this fabulous cardio machine where you sit and basically its like a stationary bike for your arms - I've seen people really get the cardio going on it!
