Not a pill but fiber is put into most appetite suppressants to make you feel full. Have you tried a fiber supplement before? I highly recommend psyllium husk powder which can be found at any health food store. It is also the main ingredient in metamucil.

Pills have never worked for me but I find if I take my fiber supplement then I don't get as hungry.

My friends took Reductil and they said that it's quite effective.

I looked up Reductil and it is a pill with 5-HTP and fiber.

There is some concern about 5-HTP. Here is a website that has a good overview of 5-HTP.

No pill has ever worked for me, except a doctor-prescribed pill. And it did work. Very well. But the side effects were not pleasant, and after about 6 months, it stopped working. Of which the doctor warned me it might do. But I was able to lose about 25 pounds with it.

Course... eventually... gained it back, and a few more.

Hence, here I be.

No pill has ever worked for me either. I was put on Meridia for a short time and I didn't lose any weight. What happened is my normally low blood pressure (100/60) went through the roof (140/95) and the doctor said no more Meridia for me. One reason I think people should be monitored closely if they decide to take weight loss pills.

Not much since the ephedra ban, and I've tried MANY. Trimspa, zantrex, relacore, nv, stacker, etc etc. None of it worked for me.
I also took a prescription before though-phentermine-and it worked really well. I didn't gain the weight back when I quit taking it...atleast not until I got pregnant AGAIN.
If you really want to take a pill, your best bet is asking your doctor first. Prescriptions are monitored by the fda, and even if it costs more than picking up a bottle of the latest trend, you will still save all the money I've wasted on trial and error. Mostly error.

Pills don't work if the problem is emotional eating. If you're the sort of person that overrides your body's natural hunger signals, and eats even when you're full then you're wasting your money buying appetite suppressants...
