Default Fabulous Forties #75

I went to page 2 and didn't even notice. Don't forget to read JanieD's reply on the second page of #74.

Here is mine from page 2 on #74:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi mom4. Welcome!!!! I am 42 yrs. old and I have 3 kids (15,10 and 8) so no grandkids yet. I'll bet you are lovin' have 4 grandchildren. I hear it is a blast. Congrats on your loss. That is great. You are
I am a lifetime member and I have lost 45# so far. I need to lose about 9# for my goal but want to lose around 19#.

Great quote Patti. I loved it!

Essie,
I am so glad you loved the Olive Garden. If you have any Macaroni Grills around they are a wonderful Italian restaurant too. I fell in love with ours. We have been their 4 times in 2 months. That is my restaurant of choice when Bruce and I get a night out.

Hi Joyce, Myra, Dianne, Jen and JanieD!

Terri, I don't think there are any Macaroni Grill restaurants here but I'll check it out.

Janie, it's been strange the past 2 weeks. With all that's happened I came seem to stay focused. They're starting to bring Halloween candy to work. ALREADY!! I really have to stay away. Today I walked away from my desk & when I got back someone left a Kit Kat by my phone. I ate it Driving home all I kept thinking was why didn't I give it away. Tomorrow will be a better day.

Mom4, I think you're going to like it here. We're a small group but we talk about everything.

Jen, Dianne, Myra, Joyce, Zoe

Hugs,
Essie

Hello my buddies

Momof4 - welcome to our little group. I am a lifetime member of ww since 1995, but go up and down. But what are fresh starts for anyway? I'm 48 years old and have 13 grandchildren with another on the way in December. Don't ask! It's a complicated story, but to make a long one short, my husband and I have "yours, mine and ours children", so now we have "yours, mine and ours grandchildren" Hope you like it here, we're happy to have you!

Jen - awwww, so sad when its time to close the pool, huh? But, next year you'll have it for the whole entire summer.

Essie - I know, that halloween candy is rough - I especially love those little corn things Now the holidays will come fast and furious, so we'll have to be strong -- hey, maybe it would help if we had our jaws wired

Zoe - congrats on the loss - way to go, girl.

Hi to Myra, Janie and Joyce. (hope I didn't miss anyone)

Have a great week everyone.

Hugs,
Dianne

Default A new week...............

Hello Y'all

Another Monday under my belt but the worse Monday I've had in a long time......I'll explain at the end of my post.

Janie ~ Our reservation in Vegas is at the Monte Carlo, right in the middle of it all.

Terri ~ I absolutey LOVE Macaroni Grill!!!!!!! But ya know, that olive oil and bread, a big "stay away" Ha!

Mom4 ~ welcome to our small but wonderful group. There are only a few of us at times and then many at other times. We come and go, leave for awhile then come back.....the reason we come back is because the support here is great and the girls are wonderful friends. You are going to love it here.

Ok, as for the stressful day......I am a co-manager in my department and we don't have enough help. When I go on vacation, I have TONS of work to do to leave and then TONS of it to come back to....but hey, I do it, we all do it. Well, with vacation only a week away, I have so much to do......there are parts of my department that no one knows how to do ~ only me. I know, I know, that's not a good thing and something that I will be changing soon but......my co manager was out sick on Friday and then, didn't come in today either. He called in around 9am and said that he has to have back surgery THIS WEEK!! That means he's not out for 6-8 weeks and I can't leave. There is no way I can go now......... My boss was sorry that my vacation would be ruined but I told her that if I need to stay, I will. My husband works for the same company and both he and my son (who works there too) aren't that disappointed. It all seems strange but anyway, a long story short, my trip has been postponed indefinitely.......the airline tickets won't be lost, we'll just cancel and use them for another time.......so, that's that.

Hi to everyone else. Hope you're all having a good evening.

Patti ~ Soaking up the "SON" in Texas

Hi Everybody

Zoe, sorry to hear about your trip But I am a strong believer in "sometimes things happen for a reason". No wonder why you have such a stressful job! Co-manager I use to be a supervisor & I know how stressful it can be. I use to work with Pete, (my hubby) my brother & my sis-in-law for 7 yrs. When it came to Thanksgiving we all got turkeys

Dianne, you always make me laugh Most of you are lifetime members. I didn't realize that till just now. I better get my butt in gear. I have to catch up to you guys!

Hi Terri, Jen, Myra, Joyce & Mom4

Have a great day

Essie

JanieD,
I told everyone not to forget about your reply on the second page and I didn't reply myself.
Don't know where my head is.
It is so hard to go to those kind of pot luck dinners and stay op. There are foods that we haven't seen in years and may never see again. It is just so hard. At the cub scout get togethers with the boys it is that way. There are soooo many foods. They just leave the bags of all different kind of chips open and the kids put their hands in and take some. I have to imagine how DIRTY their hands are and it makes me not want to take anything. Then I try to imagine how dirty these people might be that make the yummy desserts. I picture them not washing their hands etc... I know it sounds insane but then I don't eat it.
I know we can't do that with family or real good friends but that is how I survive these once a month cub scout get togethers.

Essie,
I can't believe they are passing out Halloween Candy already. WOW!!! That is hard to pass up! I allow myself Halloween candy on Halloween. That way I have something to look forward to.

Patti,
I am so sorry about your vacation.
Maybe in the Spring...
Macaroni Grill is a killer but I LOVE IT! We each had a glass of the Chianti. (Spell?) OH MY! Like my grandpa (From Italy) use to make. We drank on the honor sysytem.

Dianne,
You forgot me!

I've had a tough couple of days. Lots of attitudes flying. I've tried to stay in control. I haven't done that bad. Still in my range, although at the top end. Hopefully things calm down. Hopefully I lost something this week. I have started exercising again. Wish me luck. WI in tomorrow nite.

Good luck tomorrow. I know you will do well. Keep on exercising.

Zoe,
Hi, we stayed at the Monte Carlo the last time we were in Vegas (1999). It is very nice, however there isn't much entertainment there (except the casino, if your into that kind of thing, we aren't). But you are right it is right in the center of everything. Last time I was there they were still building Paris France right across the street. I would be interested in how it turned out. I am a little confused as to whether it is your vacation or Patti's that got cancelled. ( I am a little slow ) If you are still going to Vegas, definately go to see Cirque du Soleil and The Star Trek Experience. We really enjoyed both. Except Ellen was totally terrified by a Klingon who wouldn't even step out of character when she was screaming hysterically.

Terri,
Thanks for the suggestions regarding pot lucks. As we approach the holidays there seems to be more and more of them. Hopefully there will be fewer deserts next time

Hi Everyone,
I am so excited. I WI this morning and I lost 3 lb. I was shocked considering the weekend that I had, but I was low on my points the other days. I guess I banked enough to cover it. Not only is it a great loss, but I have reached my 10% weight loss, I am only 2 lbs from the BMI weight range for my height, and I am half way to my personal goal weight! . Myra, I hope you do well tonight!

Hugs,

CONGRATULATIONS JanieD!!! {{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}
That is a wonderful loss and your 10% to boot. You are
How much more do you have to go?

Patti is Zoe. Zoe is her user name. It is the name of her precious little dog. Sorry for the confusion.

Zoe/Patti,
What would you rather me call you Zoe or Patti?

Hi everyone!!!!!

Patti, so sorry to hear that your vacation plans had to be cancelled, you were really looking forward to it.

Janie, GREAT JOB! 3 lbs. is a good loss....and your 10% is a big achievement!

Terri, I laughed when I read your diet trick about envisioning dirty hands, kitchens, etc. I've ALWAYS shyed away from food made by others if I don't know their habits or homes....to hear you using it to stay OP is great.

Myra, hope you're doing okay.

And I'm with Essie.....I must be the only other one who isn't a lifetimer. I've begun the race countless times but never finished......

hi to everyone else!

~Jen

Janie -- It might be my fault that you are confused, ever since I found out Patti used the two names I've called her Patti/Zoe! She is one in the same person, but I like Patti/Zoe so I still call her that. She hasn't told me to stop, so I'm not sure if she likes it or not Congrats on the loss, way to go.

Hey Jen - don't worry, you'll get there and then you can be like me, up and down, back and forth Just kidding, but its true, life gets in the way sometimes and stuff happens. That's just the way it is. Slow and steady wins the race, so don't worry.

HI TERRI!!!!!!!!! Don't want to forget you again Hi to Essie, Patti/Zoe, Myra, Joyce, Momof4 (hope I didn't leave someone else out this time!).

Well, I'm off tomorrow for Jewish Holiday and Alana is coming home for a few days also. We'll go shopping tomorrow and do some girl bonding It's so funny, I was so worried about missing her and in the one month she's been away at school, this is her third time coming home - can't seem to get rid of her

Well, hope you all have a good night and I'll speak to "you's" soon.

Hugs,
Dianne

I'm so happy. I weighed in today. Lost 2.4 lbs. Working out really made a big difference, I guess. It really gave me a pick up that I needed as things have been very tense at home.

Hi Girls,

Way to go Myra & JanieD. Great losses!

Dianne, that was very funny when we thought Zoe/Patti were 2 people I had a feeling Alana would be coming home often. Enjoy your day tomorrow. I wish I was off

Jen, we're going to be lifetimers one of these days. We haven't given up & that's what counts.

Myra, I hope the stress at home cools down. If you need to vent e-mail me anytime. I'm a good listener

Terri, how's Brittany doing? Tell her I said hi
How do you like the WW online? What's the difference between e-tools & online? Sorry for all the questions.

Till tomorrow.

I just might take the day off.

Hugs everybody!

Essie
